Sample Line Supervisor at Vivo Activewear

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that garment samples ordered are delivered within the required timelines and quality standards
• Developing systems for tracking the performance and output of the Sample line team
• Develop an efficient feedback loop between the various teams within the department to ensure that any errors and/or alterations are identified and corrected early in the process
• Coordinate feedback with regard to technical and construction issues on new styles
• Ensure that garment samples are completed in the most time and cost efficient way
• Identify and report on any maintenance issues
• Ensure efficiency in the usage of fabrics, trims and other raw materials used in the sampling process

Key Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, pattern construction, fitting and costing with specific knowledge in both knit and woven fabrics.
• Ability to prioritize day to day work activities according to the department/business needs.
• Knowledge of product construction.
• Good time management and multitasking skills.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Detail-oriented.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in garment manufacturing/Fashion Design/Operations Management with demonstrated success in managing processes and teams
• A Bachelors degree or Diploma in a Design/Fashion/Operations/Production related field.
