What You’ll Do

This dynamic role is responsible for serving the Engineering Group (and the larger organization) as a Servant-Leader who will facilitate all Scrum ceremonies and coach the Team’s use of the Scrum theory and practice as well as implement complementary Kanban techniques for the purpose of assisting the team to deliver data-centric deliverables.

Who You Are

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including: Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective. Ensure all Scrum events are productive, effective, and timeboxed.
• Assist with the grooming, preparing, and prioritizing of Product Backlog items to ensure clarity, conciseness, and readiness for Developer work. Ensure the Product Backlog is the single, centralized source of work for the Team.
• Contribute to establishing the Sprint Goal; monitor Sprint Progress; resolve and remove impediments to Sprint Workflow; drive In-Progress items to Done by collaborating with the Developers.
• Manage and optimize the Workflow to improve Throughput while maintaining a sustainable pace.
• Impact the Team by promoting Scrum values (Commitment, Focus, Openness, Respect, and Courage); coach the Team in self-management, cross-functionality, and optimal planning; motivate the team to continually improve, adapt, and deliver.
• Measure, analyze, and report on Project and Team progress, including - Sprint Status, Team Velocity, Sprint Progress, Blockage Patterns, WIP, Cycle Time, Throughput metrics, Burndown Charts, Burn Up Charts.
• Help determine Project Estimates and Service Level Expectations and other forecasts of Delivery by utilizing Agile metrics and empirical methods.
• Enable change within the Team and the organization to continually drive efficiency and achievement of business goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Scrum certification and/or proven knowledge and experience utilizing the values, skills, and methods of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and other frameworks to accomplish complex, technical work.
• Extensive experience working with JIRA, Confluence, Productboard, or other Agile development tools.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of Leadership and internal partners.
• Experience facilitating meetings/discussion groups related to requirements definition/gathering, issue resolution, and process improvement.
• Experience working with technical software teams.
• Strong understanding of team dynamics.
• Proven experience in making decisions, solving problems, motivating individuals, and serving as an effective Change Agent.
• Experience creating and delivering visual Agile metrics to inform and guide Leader and Team decision-making.
