Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant Job

1. Handle budget preparations and analyse financial data
2. Discuss financial performance with management on a monthly and quarterly basis and assist in developing and implementing cost effective measures to reduce operational costs
3. Review all invoices for accuracy, appropriate supporting documentation and approval prior to posting in accounting system
4. Timely payment of vendors and suppliers & Maintain vendor files and contact lists Receivables
5. Prepare account reconciliations and financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
6. Recording of incoming payments
7. Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables data
8. Generate and review aging report to ensure compliance
9. Timely preparation and filing of Withholding Tax, Withholding Vat and Value Added Tax
10. Computation of installment taxes and submission before due dates End Month/Year closing
11. Be actively involved in payroll preparations and ensure statutory deductions are made as per the set policies
12. Monitor and interpret cash flows and predict future trends

Senior Accountant Job Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and must be CPAK
2. 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar role at a supervisory level
3. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge and experience in using Accounting Software packages such as ERP, Payroll Plus & Quickbooks
4. Proficiency in accounting packages
5. Suitable candidate should be of unquestionable integrity
6. They should also be dynamic and a team player
7. Should also have experience in internal auditing and in all areas of accounting
8. Ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressurized environment
9. Have high good attention to detail
10. The candidate must be very reliable and energetic as well as being able to juggle many balls at the same time.
