Senior Architect at Judiciary of Kenya

Requirements

For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have: –

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
2. Registered with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity
3. Surveyors or any other recognized professional body;
4. A Senior Management Course or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
5. Proficiency in computer applications; and
6. Meets the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.

Experience:

1. Minimum six (6) years relevant work experience;
2. At least three (3) years at Supervisory Management level

3. Knowledgeable in reviewing designs drawings of infrastructural projects;

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Reviewing designs and drawings of infrastructural projects;
2. Engaging with the stakeholders on infrastructure requirements;
3. Preparing architectural design drawings as per the judiciary infrastructure master plan;
4. Formulating and implementing design standards, administrative and operational procedures concerning projects;
5. Conducting periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with the plan;
6. Carrying out site analysis and prepare project proposals;
7. Preparing details, specifications, and schedules;
8.  Ensuring that all works are carried out to specification standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations
9. Supervising infrastructure projects.
