    Senior Artisan (KMFRI Grade 10)

    Duties and responsibilities in this position will entail:

    1. Welding and fabricating metal structures and motor vehicles; 
    2. Carrying out routine checks for repairs and maintenance of metal works;
    3. Interpreting works requisition. 

    Requirements for appointment/Persons Specification

    1. At least three (3) years Relevant Experience
    2. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) of minimum mean grade ‘D’ (plain) or its equivalent qualification from a recognised institution; 
    3. Government Trade Test Certificate Grade III in the respective craft; and
    4. Meets the requirements of chapter six of the constitution.

    Or

    1. At least two (2) years’ relevant work experience;
    2. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) of minimum mean grade ‘D’ (Plus) or its equivalent qualification from a recognised institution; 
    3. Government Trade Test Certificate Grade II in the respective craft; and
    4. Meets the requirements of chapter six of the constitution. 

    Other Key Competencies and Skills

    1. Organizational skills; 
    2. Communication skills;
    3. Interpersonal skills.

    • Clearance/Compliance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
    • Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority
    • Clearance from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
    • Clearance from recognized Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
