    Senior Broker Consultant

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    Reporting to the Head of Business Development – The Senior Broker Consultant play a key role in business acquisition and implementation of sales strategies and ensure achievement of premium targets.

    PRIMARY Duties & Responsibilities

    1. Drive and generate business revenue (new business and renewal premium income) so as to meet business targets
    2. Undertake and coordinate daily marketing activities and business sourcing to ensure achievement of monthly business targets.
    3. Follow through on renewal of existing business to achieve the targeted retention rate
    4. Participate in implementation of marketing strategies.
    5.  Provide relevant market intelligence, suggest, and identify opportunities for new markets.
    6. Handle to conclusion all business enquiries and coordinate with the underwriting department to ensure competitive quotations to clients
    7. Provide market intelligence to the company to ensure the company remains relevant and competitive.
    8. Undertake business presentations and trainings to intermediaries and their clients.
    9.  Actively and aggressively follow up on quotations to ensure business acquisition.
    10.  Prepare periodical reports of own production targets and business leads.
    11. Undertake regular analysis of performance against targets and report on variances.
    12. Periodically review existing products and proposes changes with a view to enhancing their quality
    13. Establish effective relationships and SLA management with internal and external stakeholders.

    Qualifications and Experience

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or insurance field
    2. Full ACII/ IIK qualification
    3. Over 3 years’ experience selling life insurance products
    4. Good understanding of Life Assurance principles and practices in Kenya

    Required skills and Competencies

    1. Good communication and customer service skills
    2. In-depth knowledge of Life Assurance products
    3. Planning and organization skills
