Job Requirements

1. ACADEMIC    BACHELOR- JOURNALISM
2. EXPERIENCE    Have a minimum of four (4) years relevant work experience
3. INTEGRITY    Fulfil the requirements of Chapter of the Constitution
4. SKILLS    Be Proficient in computer application
5. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES    Team player
6. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES    Planning skills
7. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES    Communication and reporting skills
8. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES    Interpersonal and negotiation skills and
9. TRAINING    Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks from a recognizedinstitution;

Job Responsibilities

Responsibility Description

• Implementing communication strategies
• Supporting execution of events and programmes for dissemination to the media and the public;
• Editing stories on various topical issues before they are released to the public;
• Coordinating designing of corporate materials for building Councils brand;
• Ensuring that appropriate public feedback mechanisms are in place;
• Coordinating Councils advertising and publicity;
• Ensuring maintenance of all public affairs and communications records and photographs; and
• Managing and nurturing relations with Media.
