    Senior Human Resource Business Partner

    Job Summary:

    • The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (SHRBP) coordinates the strategic and operational HR activities related to employee capacity building and development, aligning with hospital goals, budgetary constraints, and departmental requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Partner with leadership to implement HR strategies in talent acquisition, learning & development, compensation, succession planning, and employee relations.
    • Oversee core HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff development.
    • Manage the HR Information System (HRIS) to ensure data integrity, accurate job grading, and optimal departmental structure.
    • Handle employee relations by resolving conflicts and administering disciplinary and grievance procedures in line with policy and labour laws.
    • Identify institutional training needs and manage capacity-building initiatives within the allocated budget and cluster policies.
    • Lead and monitor key HR projects, from prioritization to implementation and evaluation.
    • Provide expert advice to managers and staff on HR policies, labour laws, and compliance requirements.
    • Support internal and external quality assurance and accreditation efforts (e.g., JCIA, SQE).
    • Foster a high-performance culture by collaborating with managers to enhance staff engagement and performance.
    • Oversee compensation, benefits, and payroll processes in partnership with Finance.
    • Analyse HR metrics to support data-driven decisions on compensation, attrition, and career mobility.

    The requirements

    Education:

    • Degree in Human Resources Management

    Experience:

    • 8 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 5 years in the healthcare industry

    Skills:

    • Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
    • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and team collaboration abilities
    • Self-motivated and detail-oriented

    Personal Characteristics:

    • Strong organizational and decision-making skills
      Empathetic with training and development capabilities
      Budget management skills
