Senior Lecturer - Statistics Part-Time at Zetech University

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teaching in areas allocated by the Head of Department and reviewed from time to time by the Head of Department.
• Supervising or assisting with supervision of any research studies, attachment and teaching practice undertaken by the students.
• Providing mentorship and career guidance to students
• Participating in the development, administration and marking of examinations and other assessments
• Handling students’ grievances that relate to their learning needs.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisors or as captured in your detailed job description.

Minimum Qualification and Experience

• PhD/Doctorate in Statistics or equivalent degree qualification in a relevant area from a recognised/ accredited university.
• Master of Science in Statistics degree or a related area from a recognized/accredited university.
• Bachelor of Science in Statistics degree or in a relevant field from a recognized/accredited University.
• At least three years of teaching/research experience at the university level as a Lecturer/Research Fellow.
• A minimum of thirty-two (32* equivalent publication points as a Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow of which twenty-four (24*) should be from refereed journal articles.
• Supervised at least two (2) postgraduate students.
• Attracted research funds as a Lecturer/ Research Fellow
• Attended and contributed at academic conferences, seminars and workshops.
• Evidence of being a member of a relevant professional body.
• Evidence of leadership (administrative experience, active participation in departmental /school/university/national/international activities)
