What you will be doing
Shape the narrative

• Define how we tell stories about African business owners and their ambition
• Build content pillars that reinforce trust, growth and empowerment Bring creative ideas that cut through and feel undeniably East African

Create, direct and ship content

• Write scripts and concepts
• Shoot content yourself when needed
• Direct photographers, videographers and editors
• Edit short form video with speed and taste
• Review and refine work from freelancers and creators

Nurture the creative ecosystem

• Build and manage relationships with creators in Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda Develop content formats that can scale, not one-offs that die in WhatsApp groups Run a healthy creator pipeline so we never run dry

Cross-functional collaboration

• Work closely with Marketing, Product, Community and Customer Success
• Bring stories out of the field, not just out of Canva
• Turn insights and customer interactions into compelling content

Performance and improvement

• Track what resonates, what builds trust, what brings in quality clients Learn fast, iterate fast, improve the craft continuously

• 5+ years of experience creating digital content in East Africa
• You have led or directed content teams or creators
• You edit confidently and shoot creatively, whether with a phone or a proper camera
• You have managed freelance creators and production partners
• You have built content systems, not just viral moments
• Docu-style or brand film experience
• Startup or agency background
• Strong network in the creator space

Your first 90 days

• Build our storytelling and content playbook
• Deliver a strong pipeline of client stories across KE, UG and RW
• Launch a hero client campaign that becomes a reference point internally Establish and run a network of trusted creators and editors
• Make our content feel more human, more ambitious and more intentional
