Are you passionate about fighting climate change and injustice, but you can see that traditional campaigning isn’t delivering the scale of transformation required? Do you have strong policy and research skills, and want to apply them as part of an innovative team that’s breaking new ground? If so then we’d love you to join our growing team.
The Global Advocacy Team at Tearfund has a vision to tackle the three defining issues of our time – ending extreme poverty, safeguarding the environment and tackling inequality. Our team walks alongside grassroots movements around the globe campaigning on issues like climate change, plastic waste and green jobs. We support people to drive change, nurture their leadership, and join them up with our research, media and campaigning work at national and global levels.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic senior member of staff to join our policy and research team in this new and exciting role.
We’re looking for someone who is:
You’ll build relationships with grassroots groups, networks and allies to strengthen social movements across Africa. You will provide policy expertise and lobbying to help drive forward policy and behaviour change on environmental and economic sustainability issues. You will be working alongside a passionate and ambitious team, and will love to pray for change, believing that God can and does do amazing things.

Please note: This is a new, full time position and is a two year fixed term role, based at our Nairobi hub office in Kenya. The annual gross salary set for this position is KES 6,925,712 per annum. This is a national contract therefore, candidates must have a passport or visa evidencing their right to live and work in Kenya.
