Senior Superintendent (Electrical) at Baringo County Government

Job Details/Description
Duties and responsibilities;

•  Planning, controlling and coordinating electrical and electronic designs for County Government Buildings and construction works.
•  Supervise and inspect projects
•  Maintenance of electrical installations in public building and Government quarters
•  Commissioning, testing and maintenance of electrical controls related to fire detection equipment, cookers, water heaters, general domestic appliances power generating plants and machinery catering equipment and low/medium voltage distribution systems
•  Supervise staff working under him/her,
•  Lighting protection of County Government installations
•  Evaluating, certifying and recommending fee submitted by the consultants
•  Preparation of design drawing and specifications and making estimates for electrical installations for supply of power to public buildings, hospitals and other institutions under the instruction of Electrical Engineer.

Requirements for the appointment

•  Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
•  Served in the grade of superintendent (Electrical) or comparable and relevant position in the Public Service for at least three (3) years
•  Member of the Registration Engineers Board (EBK)
•  Current valid Annual Practicing License from the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya(EBK)
•  Attended a supervisory management course not lasting less than four(4) weeks
•  Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
