Shipping Clerk at AAA Growers

Position summary:

The position entails the unloading of company vehicles and delivery of goods to the various shedsThe shipping clerk will also shadow the processes of monitoring goods leaving the company by using the relevant shipping documents such as; invoices, ,LPOs, Delivery notes.

Key responsibilities:

Truck Arrivals at the Airport:

• To supervise the offloading of trucks on arrival at various agents on arrival at the airport.
• To ensure that the actual box counts received tally with the delivery notes and in case of discrepancies to immediately report to the HOD.
• .To ensure temperature readings of the products are taken on arrival of the truck and be forwarded to the HOD for onward transmission.
• To ensure that boxes being offloaded are properly handled by handling agent’s in order to guarantee safety of the products.

Cargo Weights:

• .To ensure that cargo is weighed and all weight dockets counter signed before forwarding to Head office.

KEPHIS INSPECTION:

• Ensure the products are presented to the KEPHIS inspection in good time for inspection
• Ensure the inspection samples are kept safely in the cold room and any expired sample boxes are forwarded to Head Office for disposal
• Report to the HOD Airport Logistics any cases of product rejections by the KEPHIS inspectors for immediate follow up with the concerned officials.

Documentation:

• Is responsible for the collection of Phytosanitary’ certificates and other relevant export documents and the subsequent delivery to the handling agents as required.
• Confirm that all the information contained in the documents is correct and accurate before handing them over to the agents
• Any other duties as may be directed from time to time by the Airport Manager or senior Management
