Social and Digital Media Intern - (Nairobi) Church at Ital Global

Job Purpose:

• The purpose of a Social and Digital Media Intern in a church setup is to support the church’s mission and outreach by creating, managing, and sharing digital content across social media platforms. This role helps to engage the congregation and wider community online, promote church events and messages, and enhance the church’s digital presence through creative storytelling, graphics, video, and strategic communication. The intern works closely with ministry leaders to ensure that the church’s values and voice are consistently reflected in its online platforms.

Qualifications and Requirements 

• Degree/Diploma in journalism or communications, marketing, public relations or any other related field
• Has basic to intermediate experience in video editing (e.g., Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve)
• Familiar with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop)
• Has a creative eye for storytelling through media.
• Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, ministry-centered environment
• Must be a Christian

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist with video shooting and editing of events, services, and digital content
• Support graphic design work for social media, web, and print
• Help manage content publishing across platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
• Collaborate with the media and communications team during ministry events.
• Manage the digital archive and maintain an organized file-management system for images and videos, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
• Track various media outlets to keep the organization informed on public perception and industry trends.
