    Story and Communications Assistant

    Greenpeace International is in search of a Story and Communications Assistant to support the Story and Communication Unit in all operational processes to engage millions of people in our stories about creating a green and peaceful future.

    In this role you will support our storytelling and communications unit. This team helps to create and amplify global campaign content internationally. It maintains global communications systems and services and builds capacity in our National Regional Offices.

    As a Story and Communications assistant you will help us to support clear internal communication, maintain internal networks and implement administrative, financial and logistical aspects in order to enable smooth day-to-day operations of the Unit. You will also help to coordinate virtual and in-person international events and trainings. Furthermore you are expected to support financial processes, managing information flows and tracking and monitoring project budgets. You will work very closely with the Communications Hubs Coordinator to streamline internal processes as above.

    Job requirements

    What we are looking for:

    • Significant experience in a similar role in an international organisation.
    • Experience with working in an international and culturally diverse environment.
    • Proven ability to influence, negotiate and communicate efficiently.
    • Proven project management skills.
    • Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
    • Proven ability to organize, plan events and to coordinate.
    • Proven ability to work collaboratively and in managing relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Support for and belief in the core aims and values of Greenpeace.
