    Financial Accountant

    Greenpeace International’s (GPI’s) International Finance Unit is looking for a skilled and hard-working Financial Accountant to join the team and support with financial accounting and technical expertise.

    In this role you will work hands on at both the transactional level and also act as a sparring partner to the Financial Controller on technical accounting issues. You’ll be responsible for integrity of financial information of national and regional office (NRO) related transactions and act as the business partner for the Global Finance team.

    Additionally, you’ll work to ensure that financial policies and procedures are up to date and comprehensive and reviewed on a regular basis. You’ll be integral to the success of the GPI Finance team, supporting the delivery of financial reports and ensuring the quality of underlying information.

    Job requirements

    • Accounting Studies degree or (part) qualified professional accounting qualification, e.g ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
    • Sufficient relevant experience in an accounting function, preferably in an international organization.
    • Strong technical accounting background.
    • Intermediate to advanced level of MS Excel.
    • Strong communication skills in the English language (written as well as spoken) and ability to explain complex financial information to users.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • SUN accounting systems skills is prefered.
    • Support for and belief in Greenpeace core aims and values.

    Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Advisor

    Greenpeace International (GPI) is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Advisor to support MEL activities, including impact framework monitoring, across our global programme areas. You will strengthen organisational learning by developing innovative, fit-for-purpose MEL methods and tools for priority National and Regional Offices (NROs) and projects. A key focus will be the technical connections with data insights, as well as the promotion, accessibility and translation of technical impact logic frameworks into shifts in culture/ways of working.

    This is a one-year fixed-term role, working closely with the Impact, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager in the Global Programme Office (GPO). You will also work with Insights in the Global Engagement Department (GED) to rapidly develop and iterate systems, processes and networks that support our ambition.

    In this role you will:

    • Adapt, refine and monitor impact framework, standards and implementation methods through consultation with key stakeholders.
    • Ensure Impact and MEL frameworks contribute to overall impact efforts and are accessible and audience driven.
    • Proactively update MEL strategies, standards, framework and good practices.
    • Provide strategic steer and advice, plus technical assistance, to NROs on MEL best practice and tools.
    • Develop and strengthen capacity to utilise M&E tools for impact measurement.
    • Lead the identification, development and/or strengthening of relevant MEL guidances, tools, toolkits, systems and processes for priority projects.
    • Monitor learning cycles and ensure relevant M&E outcomes, best practices and case studies are shared.
    • Develop and deliver MEL capacity building, including training and mentoring and development and usage of insights tools in NROs.
    • Coordinate project delivery between GPO and the Insights team to support priority NRO MEL and campaign analytics work.
    • Advise the Insights team planning and project delivery, by providing MEL perspective and requirements of priority offices – in particular for the development of reporting & data infrastructure design.
    • Advise Head of Insights, GED, on ideal resourcing allocation.
    • Support learning, coordination and information exchange between GPO and the Insights, Research and Engagement support teams.
    • Contribute significantly to global strategy benchmarking, including through collaboration on global polling, ensuring alignment with overall Programme impact efforts.

    Job requirements

    What we’re looking for:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (preferably in Social Science, Economics or Statistics), with Master’s degree preferred.
    • At least 5 years’ professional experience in the field of Monitoring and Evaluation,data insights/analysis or any reasonably connected field.
    • Proven in-depth knowledge of data processing languages, analysis tools, quantitative and qualitative monitoring methodologies, plus a proven track record in designing impact frameworks and monitoring tools.
    • Ability to translate data findings into practical recommendations and to communicate conclusions of complex data analysis to non-expert audiences, and senior leadership
    • Experience in report writing.
    • A proactive, energetic approach to problem solving.
    • Excellent relationship building skills.
    • Proficiency in written and spoken English, with additional languages preferred.
    • Strong identification and belief in Greenpeace goals and mission.

    Senior Financial Analyst & Digital Innovation Manager

    Greenpeace International’s (GPI’s) International Finance Department is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst & Digital Innovation Manager to join the team.

    In this role, you will provide end-to-end leadership within the Global Finance team in improving the process as well as the output of the Global reporting cycle, with the objective of delivering strategic insights that lead the way for Greenpeace to deliver on its mission. To do this you will collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure a standardized, high quality, and timely delivery of data. You will use your critical mindset to analyze processes and data architecture, to remove roadblocks and improve efficiency. In addition, you will use your analytical mindset to deliver data based, valuable insights that enable strategic thinking and data-based decision making in the organization. Lastly, you will lead the way for the International Finance Unit in digital transformation, delivering powerful visualization of financial results.

    Story and Communications Assistant

    Greenpeace International is in search of a Story and Communications Assistant to support the Story and Communication Unit in all operational processes to engage millions of people in our stories about creating a green and peaceful future.

    In this role you will support our storytelling and communications unit. This team helps to create and amplify global campaign content internationally. It maintains global communications systems and services and builds capacity in our National Regional Offices.

    As a Story and Communications assistant you will help us to support clear internal communication, maintain internal networks and implement administrative, financial and logistical aspects in order to enable smooth day-to-day operations of the Unit. You will also help to coordinate virtual and in-person international events and trainings. Furthermore you are expected to support financial processes, managing information flows and tracking and monitoring project budgets. You will work very closely with the Communications Hubs Coordinator to streamline internal processes as above.

    Site Reliability Engineer (3 Positions)

    Greenpeace International (GPI) is seeking 3 Site Reliability Engineers to join a dispersed team applying a software engineering approach to IT operations. Using software as a tool to manage systems, solve problems and automate operations tasks, you will divide your time between operational support and developing systems and software that help increase site reliability and performance.

    You will be working in GPI’s Technology Department that delivers technology and data solutions that enable the Greenpeace network to win campaigns, faster, and to support an effective and efficient global organisation through the massive strategic uplift that technology can give us.

    In this role you will:

    • Design, implement, scale, maintain and support systems through automation to achieve service level objectives.
    • Actively look for opportunities to improve the availability and performance of the system by applying the learnings from monitoring and observation.
    • Make recommendations to management and liaise with other stakeholders.
    • Provide backup and disaster recovery in order to provide continuity.
    • Work in close collaboration with other teams to shape the future roadmap and establish strong operational readiness across teams
    • Maintain high-quality documentation based on team standards.
    • Provide training to stakeholders of varying skill levels.

    Job requirements

    What we’re looking for:

    • Computer science education or equivalent experience.
    • Deep knowledge in managing infrastructure and services, ideally with automation.
    • Deep knowledge of Infrastructure as a Service, CI/CD, automation and observability.
    • Knowledge of on-premises and cloud-based platform hosting infrastructure.
    • Knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language.
    • Experience with networking (routing, switching, firewalling, TCP/IP), OS administration (Linux, Windows, MacOS), virtualized and containerized environments.
    • Experience working in an Agile environment.
    • Fluency in English, both verbal and written, and preferably one other language.
