    Superintendent (Irrigation)

    Duties and responsibilities
    Specific duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: -

    • collating and compiling data for irrigation planning;
    • organizing farmers meeting for irrigation participatory development;
    • training irrigation farmers on sustainable scheme management and resource mobilization;
    • setting up of demonstration plots;
    • identifying irrigation schemes for development; and
    • Carrying out preliminary surveys, and implementing irrigation action plans. Requirements for Appointment;

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

    • Serve in the grade of Senior Inspector (Irrigation), Job Group CPSB 09/’K’ for a minimum period of three (3) Years;
    • Technician Part II Certificate in any of the following disciplines; - Agricultural Engineering, Soil and Water engineering, Irrigation or Surveying from a recognized institution;

    OR

    • Diploma in any of the following disciplines; - Agricultural Engineering, Soil and Water Engineering, Irrigation or Surveying from a recognized institution; and
    • Demonstrated merit and shown ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Method of Application
