Supervisor – Revenue Assurance & Fraud Analytics One at Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)

Job Summary

The jobholder shall be responsible for executing fraud detection and revenue assurance strategies by analyzing tax data, identifying revenue leakages, and strengthening fraud prevention mechanisms. The personal shall leverage on data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to enhance compliance and risk management efforts.

Duties and responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate fraud detection and revenue assurance projects.
• Ensure adherence to policies, regulatory frameworks, and risk management strategies.
• Conduct advanced data analysis to detect fraud patterns and revenue leakages.
• Utilize artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, and predictive analytics to enhance fraud risk assessment.
• Develop fraud detection models and real-time monitoring tools to flag suspicious activities.
• Work with tax enforcement teams to recommend action against detected fraud and revenue leakages.
• Ensure accuracy, security, and compliance in all fraud detection and revenue assurance processes.
• Optimize emerging trends in fraud risk management, compliance, and tax enforcement.
• Generate reports and dashboards to enhance fraud intelligence and revenue assurance insights.
• Implement reconciliation frameworks to track and verify tax revenue collections.
• Guide and mentor Officers in fraud analytics, risk assessment, and compliance monitoring.

Person specifications

For appointment to this job, the candidate must have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Certification in Fraud Management, Revenue Assurance, or Data Analytics is an added advantage.
• Membership to a relevant professional body.
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar role.
