    Supply Chain Management Officer

    This is the entry level for this cadre for graduate employees. An officer at this level will work under guidance and supervision of a senior officer.

    Functions

    • Source for goods, works and services as per the procurement law;
    • Raise purchase orders for goods and services for approval;
    • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services;
    • Maintain and update a list of prequalified suppliers;
    • Assist in undertaking market surveys to ensure the Council obtains value for money;
    • Ensure safe custody of all procurements records; and (vii) Participate in the opening
    • Participate in the opening quotations;
    • Any other duty as may be assigned

    Requirements for Appointment

    For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-

    • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & Supplies Management, Business Administration, or other relevant field from a recognized institution;
    • Member of professional body either KISM or CIPS;
    • Four (4) years relevant experience; and

    Key Competencies and skills

    • Proficiency in IT;
    • Planning skills;
    • Communication and reporting skills;
    • Interpersonal and negotiation skills; and
    • Ethical and integrity.

    Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

    Remuneration – In line with the NCPWD salary scale & SRC guidelines on allowances
