The Core banking Developer will be responsible for leading the design, development and deployment of core banking customizations and product implementations at an enterprise level . These applications are often high-volume mission, critical systems and will provide an exposure to a broad range of technologies across all layers of architecture in Java, Basic , Containerized Core Banking , Card Systems and Financial Reporting.
He/She will collaborate with teams across the development organization to understand the functional requirements and translate them into shippable products. In addition, he/she will be a technical lead in many projects and a thought leader in the integrations and software development practice. A critical thinker with experience on customer behavior and data engineering services in the bank and in the future are the hallmarks of this role.
Key Responsibilities
Primary role and responsibility is oversee and manage the implementation of the core banking application systems that meets business demands of the organization.
Leads projects involving major enhancements or upgrades of core banking application, enterprise-scale data platforms and related systems including overseeing the development of the technical specifications and application design criteria based on functional and non-functional requirements to meet the business needs.
Research and work with Strategy and Architecture teams to implement new technologies that will facilitate maximization of data as asset for strategic business transformation.
Lead a team of highly skilled engineers to provide 3rd level support on core banking applications.
Define futureproof enterprise data extraction and transformation technologies and tools that guarantee near real-time access to internal and external customers.
Define a reports model that ensures that the delivered solutions meet the business SLAs consistently.
Ensure work produced by the team is aligned with other Enterprise, Application and data architects, providing holistic enterprise solutions.
Manage the team’s performance and nurture skills that advance the IT strategy and establish a sustainable practice.
Research, evaluate and recommend new products and technologies; perform proof of concept to determine business case and planning criteria for new investments.
Review organization data capabilities, architectures and and lay foundations for enterprise -wide data analytics, business intelligence and data science capabilities.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
5+ years of experience in developing core banking applications (T24).
Strong proficiency in SAP BW, SAP BusinessObjects, and SAP HANA.
Experience in development in following technologies: Java 1.8+, Spring Framework, Apache.
Experience with Testing Frameworks(JUnit, Mockito, PowerMockito), Microservices and Understanding of Cloud infrastructure.
Experience in developing Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery pipelines (CI/ CD) using various tools like TeamCity, Jenkins/Bamboo, and Artifactory/Nexus as binary repository Experience with agile development methodologies will be a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication abilities and experience working in cross-functional teams.
