Technician at Africa Management Solutions Limited (AMSOL)

Job Purpose:

To ensure the safe and efficient operation of all play equipment in the facility. This involves regular maintenance, repairs, safety inspections, and assisting with new equipment installations, pre-opening and post closure of the site, ensuring a fun and secure environment for all visitors.

Description Performance Indicators

• Perform routine checks, maintenance, and repairs on the rides, attractions, and park facilities according to manufacturer guidelines and maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with ride systems and equipment, implementing effective solutions to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and protocols for ride operations and maintenance, prioritizing guest and employee safety at all times.
• Conduct daily inspections and pre-operational checks of rides and attractions to identify any potential safety hazards or operational issues.
• Follow daily ore-opening and post closure checklist and make the proper documentation is done.
• Document inspection findings, maintenance activities, and repairs performed accurately and comprehensively.
• Provide technical support and assistant to FEC staff during operational hours, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Provide assistance, train and educate staff on maintenance related matters or concerns.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues or vendors regarding maintenance issues, repairs, and project updates.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools and equipment necessary for repairs & maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

• Bachelors degree or Diploma in Mechanical, electrical, plumbin, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of proven experience technician in a family entertainment center, amusement park, recreation facility, or similar environment s preferred
