Term of Reference for Development of Tree Nursery at Anglican Development Services Western Limited

Scope of work

The scope of the work will entail:

• Support in identification and preparation of nursery site.
• Advise on appropriate tree species
• Support procurement of startup seedlings suitable for the area and neighborhood.
• Advise on procurement or provide alternative equipment and materials needed for tree planting.
• Advice on the systems required to run a sustainable tree nursery.
• Advice on job specification and support recruitment of the staff to run the tree nursery.
• Support in on-boarding the recruited tree nursery staff and be open for consultation.
• Deliverables

The expected deliverable includes:

• Identified and prepared nursery site.
• List of appropriate tree species suitable for the area.
• Procured seedlings
• A functional tree nursery
• List of equipment and materials needed.
• Job specification for the tree nursery staff
• Recruitment of a causal staff to manage the tree nursery
• Established systems to manage the tree nursery in sustainable manner.

Costing

• The vendor is expected to quote the cost of developing a tree nursery

Qualification

• The interested person or organization should have demonstrated experience in management of tree nursery.
