Test Center Manager (Nairobi, Kenya) at Pearson

What you’ll do

• Lead, recruit, train, schedule, coach, and support test center staff.
• Maintain a secure testing environment and protect confidential candidate and exam information.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and resolve candidate questions or concerns.
• Oversee daily center operations, including test preparation, records, supplies, audits, payroll/timecard review, and facility upkeep.
• Communicate operational issues and updates with management, staff, vendors, and building contacts.
• Coordinate with technical support and assist with basic hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Ensure the center follows Pearson VUE policies, procedures, quality standards, and security best practices.

What you’ll bring

• Customer service experience; experience in a testing environment is preferred.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, coaching, or training experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, scheduling, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Windows, and standard office equipment.
• Sound judgment, integrity, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience is preferred.

Additional requirements

• Complete required Test Administrator certification and annual recertification, along with required company training.
• Work flexible hours and occasional additional shifts as needed.
• Be able to work in a quiet testing environment, sit for extended periods, escort candidates, and lift up to 20 lbs.
• Travel to other test centers may be required
