    Test Program Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Take the lead in the technical implementation of RH/FP/MNCH/PMTCT/Nutrition in the designated health facilities tandem to the project work plan and MOH guidelines.
    • To offer continuous technical assistance, coaching and mentorship to MoH staff and other relevant stakeholders in the implementation of RH/FP/MNCH/PMTCT/Nutrition activities and ensure maximum service integration
    • Prepare and submit to the supervisor monthly RH/FP/MNCH/PMTCT/Nutrition programmatic implementation plans as per the project work plan
    • Prepare and submit to the supervisor monthly RH/FP/MNCH/PMTCT/Nutrition programmatic reports
    • Manage and be responsible for program data at all supported health facilities
    • Collaborate with the Ministry of Health, Consortium partners and other relevant stakeholders to implement quality improvement initiatives in RH/FP/MNCH/PMTCT/Nutrition in the designated health facilities
    • To contribute to documenting project success stories during routine programming
    • To regularly document scientific papers and abstracts in the project implementation areas.
    • Represent the project in regional technical forums and meetings with MoH and the other relevant partners as assigned by the supervisor
    • Foster maximal integration with the HIV Care services teams, Prevention teams , OVC and Community programs teams within the project for maximum leverage
    • Support Finance in ensuring programmatic finances are accounted for in a timely manner tandem to Jhpiego policies
    • Play a coordination and project representation role within the County or sub-County of program implementation.
    • Other duties as necessary and as assigned by immediate supervisor

    Required Qualifications

    • Degree /Diploma in Public Health or related field with a minimum 5 years relevant working experience.
    • Post graduate training is a relevant advantage.
    • Experience working in GOVERNMENT or Donor funded programs (experience with USG funded program added advantage),
    • Experience in HIV/AIDS/TB/RH/FP/MNCH/Malaria
    • Familiarity with the National Health Strategic Plan / National Community Strategy
    • Excellent verbal, written communications and presentation skills
    • Strong programming, management and technical skills
    • Has sensitivity and understanding of the beneficiary population
    • Set realistic priorities, and plan for the successful implementation of activities
    • Dynamic personality and a team player
    • Computer literacy, particularly in the use of MS word, Excel and PowerPoint
