    Multimedia and Communications Intern

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Support production of video content for the AAS website and social media platforms (pre-production, recording, and editing).
    • Capture and edit visual content: produce high-quality photographic images.
    • Design posters, flyers, social media graphics and infographics.
    • Develop social media content and update social media channels.
    • Updating content on AAS’s website.
    • Manage digital archive and maintain an organized file-management system of images and video clips.
    • Assist with the production of the annual report.
    • Research and analyse information for various communication collateral.
    • Assist in coordinating events: for both physical and online events.
    • Assist in content development for multiple digital platforms. This includes, but is not limited to blogs, case studies, success/impact stories etc.
    • Any other assigned duties.

    Qualifications and competencies

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Film Production, Public Relations or any other related field. Must have recently graduated within the last two years.
    • Strong proficiency in the Adobe Suite (particularly Premiere Pro, InDesign and illustrator) or an equivalent.
    • Demonstrated experience in graphic design, video production and photography. Applicants should share samples of their work.
    • Demonstrated writing experience.
    • Ability to work on and prioritise multiple ongoing projects, as well as adhere to tight deadlines while maintaining strict quality standards.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and collaboration skills.
    • Creative, resourceful, and eager to learn.

    Method of Application

    The successful candidate will be engaged full time (40 hours/ week) for a period of 3 months working at the AAS offices in Nairobi, Kenya.
