TikTok & Instagram Live Moderator (Live Commerce Host) at Hotpoint Appliances Ltd

Job Purpose

• Host Hotpoints TikTok and Instagram Live sales sessions, turning live viewers into paid, correctly captured orders. The role owns the live experience end to end, from preparing the product story and engaging viewers in real time to handing confirmed buyers to Finance and the Online team for order placement.
• It also feeds Hotpoint\'s short-form content on TikTok and Instagram Reels, making Live a core revenue channel for the Online division. 

Job Responsibility and Accountability

• Host scheduled TikTok and Instagram Live sales sessions (streamed simultaneously, typically 3 hours each), keeping energy and pace high for the full session.
• Demonstrate products clearly: key features, benefits, sizes, use cases, warranty, delivery and payment terms.
• Run in-session sales mechanics: flash deals, countdowns, limited-stock calls, giveaways and live Q&A, in line with the approved offer sheet.
• Respond to viewer comments by name in real time, handle objections and keep viewers watching through to purchase.
• Confirm each session\'s product line-up, prices, stock and offers with the Online team at least 24 hours before going live.
• Prepare a run-of-show for every session: product order, talking points, offers and call-to-action timing.
• Set up and test the live kit (phone, lighting, microphone, connectivity) at least 30 minutes before every session.
• Create teaser Reels and TikToks to promote upcoming Lives and repurpose live highlights within 48 hours of each session
• Guide buyers through the in-live payment process (Till Number) and capture the customer and delivery details needed for each order.
• Pass every payment to Finance for real-time confirmation and hand confirmed buyers to the Online team for order placement.
• Moderate comments during and after sessions: remove spam, flag complaints and escalate service issues to the contact center within the same working day.
• Share a post-session report within 24 hours of each Live: viewers, peak concurrent viewers, engagement, orders and revenue.
• Recommend improvements to session format, timing and offers based on results, as part of a monthly Live performance review.
• Any other duties assigned by the Manager as and when required.

Qualification

• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Journalism or a related field.
• Certificate in digital or social media marketing is an advantage.

Experience

• 1 to 3 years of experience hosting live streams, presenting or selling on camera (TikTok Live, Instagram Live, radio, TV or events).
• Sales experience in retail, live commerce or telesales; electronics or home appliances is an advantage.
• A portfolio of live sessions or short-form videos hosted by the candidate.
