Tours and Travel Internship at Cytonn Investments

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and sell local and international tours, safaris and excursion packages and upsell to clients.
• Use of digital marketing initiatives (social media, website, content creation etc) and other marketing tools to drive business growth.
• Manage all the details of the tour bookings, both inbound and outbound and ensure communications is done to service providers on time.
• Meets targets set by ensuring there is adequate engagement with leads and follow ups to close seles and make collections for each tour booking in advance.
• Identify partnership required with local or international agencies, hotels, car hire and other service providers for best competitive contract rates.
• Manage all client experiences and ensure any concerns raised are properly resolved for the benefit of the client.
• Take ownership of the booking to ensure that customer care of the highest quality is delivered.
• Develop informative reports for management decision making as required.
• Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree (2nd class honors upper division) in Tours and Travel, Communications, PR or related field.
• Digital marketing skills and good computer skills are essential.
• Excellent communication skills and attentive to detail.
• A self driven ethuthiast in tours and travel, proactive to bring success to a new entity.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task without direct supervision, and work well in a team context, while sharing ideas.
• Great knowledge of the East Africa's tourist attractions.
