    Training and Learning Specialist

    Job Description:

    The Training and Learning Specialist II role works on multiple projects as a project team member and small to medium, complex assignments. The incumbent will seek to understand and analyze learning needs of various business units within World Vision and develop learning resources as requested. The role will implement technical standards for learning content development.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Plans classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs, and other computer-aided instructional technologies, simulators, conferences and workshops
    • Participates in business requirements, functional design and testing work sessions
    • Conducts needs assessment to identify learning objectives.
    • Interviews subject matter experts, and reviews documentation from the system, product or service being provided
    • Designs and develops training content to meet the needs of assigned client groups and/or to improve upon the quality of existing content
    • Assists in determining procedures and processes to improve access to and use of knowledge across (both in the field and HQ
    • Deploys training to targeted audience
    • Identifies, tracks, and analyzes metrics for continuous improvements
    • Assists in the development of testing and evaluation standards, templates and procedures
    • Researches and evaluates emerging learning technologies
    • Identifies and evaluates vendor solutions for training
    • Provides coaching and guidance to team members

    Minimum education, training and experience requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Behavior, Educational fields, or equivalent work experience. Typically requires 3–4 years of eLearning design and development experience and strong knowledge of one or more types of eLearning software.
    • May require knowledge of and experience with a range of knowledge management tools and techniques. Strong knowledge in digital media, computer graphics and animation. Demonstrated knowledge and use of a LMS and/or other training tracking systems. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, as necessary
    • Effective in written and verbal communication in English
