Job Description

We are looking for a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Travel Consultant to join our team in Kenya. The ideal candidate will assist clients in planning and booking travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, transport, and tour packages. The role requires excellent communication skills, in-depth knowledge of travel destinations, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients in planning and booking travel itineraries, including flights, hotels, transport, and activities.
• Provide expert advice on travel destinations, visa requirements, travel insurance, and currency exchange.
• Research and recommend travel packages based on clients’ needs and preferences.
• Process reservations and issue tickets
• Handle customer inquiries, provide quotes, and follow up on bookings.
• Maintain relationships with airlines, hotels, and tour operators to secure the best deals for clients.
• Keep up-to-date with travel restrictions, safety regulations, and industry trends.
• Assist clients in case of travel disruptions, cancellations, or emergencies.
• Promote and market travel services to potential customers.
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and travel documents.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 2-4 years of experience as a travel consultant.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and travel booking software.
• Strong knowledge of local and international travel destinations.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle last-minute travel changes.
• Sales and negotiation skills to promote travel packages and secure bookings.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
