    Veterinary Officer

    Job Details/Description

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;

    • Implement animal disease control activities, strategies and policy frameworks
    • Organize    and undertake vaccinations against Livestock diseases
    • Undertake Livestock disease surveillance
    • Coordinate Vector control
    • Undertake livestock movement control
    • Undertake animal welfare and protection activities
    • Supervision of sub county ward staff, interns and attachment students
    • Coordination of performance management in the sub ward veterinary activities
    • Implement sub county ward veterinary activities

    REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPOINTMENT

    • Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine Degree
    • Registered with Kenya Veterinary Board with valid practicing license
    • A member of Kenya Veterinary Association
    • 5 years’ Experience in similar job
