Voice Recording Coordinator at Digital Divide Data (DDD Kenya)

What You’ll Do

• Recruit and organize voice contributors from Luhya-speaking communities.
• Guide participants through reading and recording sessions using a computer-based tool and related audio equipment.
• Ensure recordings are clear, accurate, and meet project quality standards (no background noise, filler words, or interruptions).
• Save and organize recordings properly for submission.
• Plan and manage daily/weekly recording schedules in the field.
• Supervise and support participants to meet collection targets.
• Report progress and challenges to the project team.

Qualifications

• Native or fluent speaker of the languages, with understanding of written text
• Strong reading and communication skills in Luhya.
• Basic computer literacy (comfortable using google suite, saving files, navigating a computer and learning new software).
• Keen attention to detail and ability to enforce quality standards.
• Experience in field coordination, participant recruitment, or community mobilization is an added advantage.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Flexible and willing to work in different Luhya-speaking areas.
