Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and execute complex engineering technical specifications.
• Perform advanced welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW), and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).
• Cut, shape, and fit metal components using precision tools and equipment.
• Inspect and test welded joints for quality assurance and compliance with safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve welding and fitting issues to maintain structural integrity.
• Lead and mentor junior welders and fitters, providing technical guidance and support.
• Ensure adherence to company safety policies and industry regulations (OSHA, AWS, ASME).
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to ensure timely project completion.
• Maintain and calibrate welding equipment and tools for optimal performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Welder/Fitter in a construction or engineering environment.
• Expertise in welding processes (MIG, TIG, SMAW, FCAW) and metal fabrication.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex Engineering designs.
• Strong knowledge of metallurgy, welding codes, and industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team in high-pressure environments.
• Welding certification (AWS, ASME, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.

Additional Information

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
• Proven experience with inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
• Experience in setting up an inventory function 

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., ERP).
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes and material handling.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and reporting tools.
