Responsibilities

• Perform precise welding and fabrication using approved techniques to assemble and repair metal structures and components.
• Ensure all welds consistently meet high industry standards, company specifications, and required safety codes.
• Inspect finished work through visual checks and measurement analysis, and correct any weld defects to maintain structural soundness and quality control.
• Read, understand, and accurately interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and technical welding symbols.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding machines and related equipment, ensuring immediate reporting of any faulty equipment or workplace hazards.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a meticulously clean and safe work environment at all times to proactively prevent accidents and injuries.
• Coordinate effectively with supervisors, fabricators, and other team members to ensure efficient and timely task completion.
• Accurately record job details, time spent on tasks, and materials utilize as per procedural requirements.
• Assist in the mentorship and training of new welders or apprentices, contributing to the development of the team.

Requirements

• Certificate or diploma in Welding, Fabrication, or related field.
• Proven welding experience (MIG/TIG/Stick) preferred.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of different metals and welding techniques.
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, heights, and varying environmental conditions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Problem-solving ability and initiative.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and operate machinery.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in physically demanding conditions.
