    Assistant Brand Manager-Deos

    MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

    Overview:

    • Supports the Marketing Manager in the development of the national Brand Marketing Plan (BMP), within the category plan guidelines, to meet company goals.
    • Works with the multifunctional team to implement the plan in the market place and monitors performance of the support plans.
    • Participates in selected various cross-functional teams – CMI, CCP, Regional Brand Teams and externally with local support agencies such as PR, sponsorship, activation and channel.
    • Assist in the brand’s day to day operational activities including monitoring of brand performance on a monthly and quarterly basis.
    • Builds productive working relationship with Customer Development, CMI, regional category team Finance and Supply Chain to manage the brand’s day to day operations.

    Key Success Measures

    • National market shares, brand turnover and PBI.
    • Achievement of all key “Jobs to be Done” as specified in BMPs and SIA

    JOB SUMMARY

    BRANDVISION PLAN (BVP)

    • Supports the Marketing manager in translation of the BVP into the BMP.

    BRAND MARKETING PLAN

    • Supports the Brand Marketing Plan development and deployment by:
    • Assisting in the execution of the integrated activity schedule ensuring consistency with BrandKey Vision and BrandVision Plan including communication strategy
    • Accountable for the analysis of brand performance and brand health by constantly evaluating performance of national support activities and in-store implementation against measurable objectives (Score Card and Brand Quarterly Tracker).  This includes the monitoring of progress against key trial and awareness measures, quality of in-store support, distribution and availability per channel ie. place, pricing and promotions in-store and initiating measuring the effectiveness and ROI of key activities.
    • Identifies solutions and make recommendations to improve effectiveness based on performance monitoring.
    • Delivers specific brand projects eg. co-branding with a major retailer.

    INNOVATION & RENOVATION

    • Assist the brand building manager in launch management; building launch plans and channel strategies (promotions, media and POS), Customer sell-in and legal & regulatory issues.

    KEY RELATIONSHIPS & TEAMS

    • Category Manager
    • Assistant Brand Building Team
    • Customer Development
    • Multi-functional BMP “deployment team” e.g. CD, CMI, Finance
    • External agencies e.g. sponsorship, PR

    • Develops brand plans that build equity and drives business growth
    • Creates/deploys integrated communications

    • Bachelor degree, Post graduate business degree preferred (MBA)

    Administration and Projects Lead

    PURPOSE OF ROLE

    The job holder will handle all back-office Project Management matters for engineering projects, ensuring all governance steps are adhered to through project life cycle.

     Additionally, the job holder will be responsible for Administration in the department, ensuring that payroll processes are accurately executed, and all workflows for each section are adhered to in order to deliver engineering jobs on time and charged out accurately

    ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Funnel all Engineering Job Requests (EJRs) raised for Engineering’s action
    • Drive Planning process with other sections
    • Maintain & Update Engineering Dashboard
    • Run SAGE Engineering Job Requests (EJRs) process for all sections
    • Manage engineering Fleet (operations)
    • Custody of Engineering Time-Based Interventions Calendar
    • Provide Administrative support for all CAPEX process
    • Oversee (Technical & Administration) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects
    • Regular Engagement with procurement on Department Purchase Requests (PRs) /Purchase Orders (POs)
    • Prepare department Budget & Variance Reports
    • Facilitate department Projects Documentation and workflow

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    Academic Qualification

    • Degree in Business related discipline. Any technical or engineering qualification will be an added advantage.

    Professional Accreditation

    • Projects Management qualification will be an added advantage

    • Knowledge of SAGE or equivalent ERP

    Civil Engineering Lead

    PURPOSE OF ROLE

    The job holder will be the technical lead of all matters relating to Civil Engineering. This includes Construction Projects, Building Maintenance, Road design and Maintenance, Water reticulation systems design and maintenance.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Develop and implement upkeep and maintenance strategies for company roads, buildings, and water reticulation systems.
    • Develop and implement standards and best practices to be used across the company for all matters relating to civil engineering.
    • Provide technical civil engineering support for all construction projects.
    • Prepare annual budgets for the section and ensure spend is within approved budget.
    • Mentor, coach and train the section team to ensure highest standard of civil works is executed across the company.
    • Manage contracts relating to civil engineering ensuring that all undertakings are delivered to specification, within cost and on time.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    Academic Qualification

    • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

    Professional Accreditation

    • Registered Professional/Corporate Engineer with EBK/IEK
    • Prince2/PMP Project Management Certification or equivalent

    Key Technical and Operational Competencies

    • Engineering Project Management
    • Technical Engineering Drawings generation and interpretation
    • Bills of Quantities & Cost Estimates
    • Knowledge of current standards and legislation relating to Civil Engineering

    7 Years’ experience which must include demonstrable accountabilities in

    • Roads construction & maintenance (KeRRA Class L/F/S/T/W roads or equivalent)

    • Construction end to end project management
    • Water Reticulation design and maintenance
