    Procurement Officer

    Duties;

    • Carry all duties under the direct supervision of the Admin and Finance Officer;
    • Be responsible for all procurements for the project implementation, including sourcing and validating suppliers, quotation collection, quotation analysis, preparation of procurement documents, liaison with suppliers for procurement service, stock management of procured materials, filing of procurement documents for a financial assessment;
    • Support the Admin and Finance Officer in necessary arrangements for the project, analysis and documentation of collected data, and any other assistance needed;
    • Draft a monthly financial report and submit to the Admin and Finance Officer every month to report the expenditures made within the month;
    • Perform any other duties instructed by AAR Japan’s international staff or the Admin and Finance Officer

    Requirements;

    • More than 1 years’ experience in humanitarian work;
    • Work experience with UN agencies or international NGOs is highly valued;
    • Experience in distribution is highly valued;;
    • Fluent language skills of English
    • Additional language skills, Kiswahili, Ng’aturkana, or Japanese, are highly valued;
    • Team-work skills;
    • PC skills (Microsoft Office is a must);
    • Degree or experience in procurement, finance or stock management is highly valued

    Project Officer

    Duties:

    • Provide direct supervision to Field Officers to implement the project;
    • Liaise with stakeholders (local authorities, local-led organizations in communities or other agencies in food security sector) to select beneficiaries, arrange food distribution points, develop distribution schedule and logistics, conduct post-survey to assess the impact of the project;
    • Support AAR Japan’s international staff in necessary arrangements for the project, analysis and documentation of collected data, and any other assistance needed;
    • Submit a monthly report to AAR Japan’s international staff by the end of each month to report the progress of the project implementation;
    • Perform any other duties instructed by AAR Japan’s international staff.

    Qualifications:

    • More than 3 years’ experience in humanitarian work;
    • Work experience in project management, including supervising and leading a team of 3 or more members;
    • Work experience with UN agencies or international NGOs is highly valued;
    • Experience in distribution of in-kind items, especially food items, is highly valued;
    • Fluent language skills of English;
    • Following additional language skills, Kiswahili, Ng’aturkana, or Japanese, are highly valued;
    • Teamwork skills;
    • PC skills (Microsoft Office is a must).
