Job Description

The Bancassurance Sales Officers will be responsible for selling and growing retail Life Assurance products through the assigned Bank Channel. 

Responsibilities

1. Generating new retail life business from the Banking sector;
2. Servicing existing retail life Bank clients;
3. Training new and existing clients on retail life products;
4. Attending to customer queries and complaints;
5. Liaising with the various departments to ensure timely service delivery to the client;
6. Providing timely and accurate quotations within the turnaround times;
7. Gathering market intelligence to ensure updated product range;
8. Participate in the preparation of revenue budget;
9. Follow up to ensure persistency is at the acceptable rate; and
10. Promoting CIC brand.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of a Diploma in a business related course. A Bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage.
2. Minimum 1 years’ relevant experience within the financial services industry
3. Relevant professional qualifications in Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance – COP/ECOP
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills
5. Good negotiation skills
6. Problem solving skills
7. Excellent Customer Care skills

Job Description

The Team Leader will be responsible for selling and growing retail Life Assurance products through Bancassurance Sales Officers under their supervision. This shall include recruiting, training, retaining and providing overall leadership to Bancassurance Sales Officers as prescribed by the company to ensure key performance indicators for Bancassurance are met.

Responsibilities

1. Recruitment, selection and retention of productive Bancassurance Sales Officers;
2. Conducting trainings on company products, processes, sales and soft skills to achieve results;
3. Building good relationship with the Bancassurance team, Branch Managers and allied bank staff to achieve set sales targets;
4. Performance management and supervision to drive retail life sales and meet targets;
5. Provide one-to-one coaching, mentoring and motivation to Bancassurance Sales Officers and ensure that they effectively implement strategies and agreed action plans;
6. Searching proactively for new revenue generating opportunities in the bank to meet the company targets and following up on new leads and referrals;
7. Providing effective customer service to both prospective and existing customers;
8. Preparing sales and other management reports as required from time to time and proactively addressing shortfalls; and
9. Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the BDM – Bancassurance.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of a Diploma in a business related course. A Bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage
2. Must have a valid IRA License for the current year
3. Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience within the financial services industry
4. Relevant professional qualifications in Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance – COP/ECOP
5. Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
6. Problem Solving skills
7. Understanding of the working environment
