Job Objective/Purpose
The Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for ensuring provision of high quality laboratory diagnostic services in the clinic as defined by Avenue Healthcare’s policies, protocols, procedures and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all laboratory equipment in good working condition.
- Timely and accurate billing of laboratory services.
- Stock management by performing daily/spot stock counts of lab supplies and report shortages to the Branch Manager
- Perform daily Internal Quality Control procedures as defined by Avenue Group SOPs.
- Follow laid down Lab Board approved rules for medical lab profession and adhere to Government and respective professional standards of care and treatment of patients.
- Timely response to emergencies.
- Carry out tests based on outlined SOPs & policies.
- Infection control.
- Maintain infection control standards when carrying out lab tests.
- Observe proper disposal of medical waste
- Equipment and other laboratory surfaces are properly disinfected with the right disinfectants

- A Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or related discipline.
- A Valid practicing license from Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board

Job Objective/Purpose
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in line with the hospital policies and procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Perform imaging procedures on patients to meet the established practice parameters and standards of care while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Processing and printing of quality and appropriate images to assist in diagnosis.
- Ensuring availability and optimum utilization of consumables for cost-effectiveness.
- Producing timely and accurate results in line with Imaging SOPs
- To ensure real time billing of all procedures has been done before they are carried out.
- Accurate identification and preparation of the client prior to imaging procedures
- Counseling of patients and next of kin about the procedure and obtain consent.
- To provide high quality care and services and maintaining the professional ethics.
- Ensure radiation safety within the facility for both staff and patients.
- Adhere to Infection Prevention Control measures per the hospital policies.
- Performs calibration and routine preventive maintenance on imaging equipment per the established procedures and protocols.

Person Specification
- Higher Diploma in Ultrasound.
- Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences.
- 2 years working experience in a similar position. Registered and licenced by the Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority
- Special skills in Echocardiography will be an added advantage.

Job Objective/Purpose
The Receptionist will be responsible for managing the reception professionally at all times and that all visitors, patients and clients are accorded immediate service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining proper patient / client records depending on the designated department / branch.
- Ensure that all the procedures / systems laid down for vetting and ensuring that all clients seeking treatment are followed for the various categories of clients i.e. Staff, cash patients , prepaid and credit / insurance clients.
