    Senior Sourcing Category Manager

    The Position: 

    Responsible for the management of the acquisition of goods and services for assigned category and ensuring that processes and tools are in place and optimized to achieve the best possible outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage self and assigned team of Sourcing Managers and Specialists.
    • Develop and execute the annual Category Plan and budget within approved limits.
    • Develop, implement, and manage the annual Category Strategy and Plan, Consolidation of Requirements, Timing and Sourcing Methods.
    • Develop and maintain Business Continuity, Risk, and Compliance Management & Regulatory Controls for the Category.
    • Relationship Management and engagement of Key Stakeholders for Category: Heads of Department, International Businesses, Suppliers, Contractors, Consultants, Management Tender Committee.
    • Implement standards, controls, processes, or regulatory determined procedures for Category.
    • Implement Cost Management Programs/Initiatives for Category during the business cycle.
    • Manage the Supplier Contract Calendar for Category, Review expiries, inclusions, retirements, cancellations.
    • Manage Suppliers Performance for Category; maintenance, monitor and review Service Level Agreements, hold review meetings.

    The Person:

    For the above position, the successful applicant should meet the following criteria:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field or Social Sciences from a recognized university.
    • Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) or equivalent.
    • Have a minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a busy and fast-paced supply chain management department/ unit with experience in:
      • Developing & implementing procurement strategy.
      • Supplier management.
      • Logistics
      • Negotiation & market analysis.
    • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to generate business relations.
    • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated competencies in championing high performance.

    Enterprise Architecture Governance Analyst

    The Position: 

    The role holder will be responsible for conducting Compliance Reviews against the established Enterprise Architecture Blueprints, publish the state of compliance and gaps as well as create a roadmap in consultation with System owners to remediate weakness and map the journey towards target Architecture State. The holder will need to be adept at analyzing complex systems, interrelations, and initiatives, applying appropriate best practice frameworks/methodologies to establish the current state of maturity as well as map the most relevant steps towards the desired state and track the progress.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Understand Bank’s Business Landscape, Technologies that support it and their relative contribution to the bank’s success to enable correct prioritization and effort focusing. 
    • Create reviews and Assurance plans based on Architecture Segments, Architecture Domains, Business Area, Geographical region, Business Divisions, Technology Departments or Systems or customer touchpoints and engage the relevant stakeholders to formalize the plans and expectations.
    • Maintain the target/approved state of the various Architecture Components (Blueprints) for review and design a detailed test backed by appropriate best practice. 
    • Identify relevant Stakeholders and Communicate with them to ensure understanding of Assurance goals, milestones, deliverables, and individual roles and responsibilities in the process.
    • Facilitate engagements on the Assurance findings, exploring opportunities and Solutions to create a roadmap and remediation plan for issues found as well as gaps in achieving the target Architecture state.
    • Ensure Propper tracking of the projects, initiatives put in place to remediate the compliance deficits and agreed roadmap, periodically conducting confirmation/verification checks, and reviewing escalations.
    • Maintain a tight grip on Technical Debt across the group ensuring remediation efforts are on course and any deviations are appropriately reviewed and approved.
    • Review the solutions design and development process ensuring a proactive approach to dealing with noncompliance of architectural principles, guidelines, and Standards.
    • Provide regular updates to Technology Leadership and Other Stakeholders on the current state of Technology and the journey towards achieving the desired Architecture State. 
    • Proactively identify, plan, and communicate risks and roadblocks in the achievement of the target Architectural State and manage/escalate them appropriately.

    The Person 

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study.
    • An IT Certification in either of the following: COBIT, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CGRC.
    • A minimum of 4 years’ progressive experience in Technology, with at least 3 years’ experience in in at least two IT disciplines such as (business architecture, application architecture, application development, middleware, microservices and SOA.
    • 3 years’ experience in Audit, Governance or Risk functions.
    • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, cloud, and processing environments.
    • Demonstrated understanding of software delivery processes, and methodologies (i.e., waterfall, agile, hybrid) & DevOps.
    • Excellent understanding of Office Automation Suite with ability to document and report on various aspects of compliance.
    • Ability to liaise with all levels of management and subject matter experts across the industry and within the organization to drive adoption of Enterprise Architecture.

    Bancassurance Direct Sales Representative

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Sales and support of insurance at the branch level which entails cross-selling insurance products, consumer awareness/ customers’ sensitization initiatives, processing insurance transactions within defined terms and conditions, supporting clients with claims advise and documentation.
    • Work closely with the branch management team to ensure the branch meets the set targets on insurance business.
    • Provide advisory services to credit department/ branch on relevant insurance policies for businesses/ clients accessing credit facilities from the branch.
    • Work closely with Branch Manager and Credit team and design strategies to leverage the existing clientele and expand the wallet share by selling insurance products hence deepening relationships and driving revenue growth.
    • Identify and leverage potential business opportunities and marketing initiatives at the branch/region and seek necessary support from the Regional or Marketing Heads to actualize these into revenues.
    • Ensuring premium is collected as per the laid down procedures on all claims being reported to the claims department.
    • Provide technical guidance and claims management support to clients and Branches.
    • Ensure timely submission of claim documents and other requisite documents to Claims department.
    • Ensure clients whose claims are being processed are kept abreast on progress of their claims.
    • Participate in regional meetings and offer valuable ideas contributing towards the growth of business.

    Job Requirements:

    • Degree from a recognized university.
    • Must have a minimum Mean grade of C+ in K.C.S.E with a C+ in Mathematics and C+ English.
    • Good planning and organization skills with the ability to deliver effectively under strict deadlines.
    • Excellent communication, presentation and customer service skills.
    • Excellent data management skills and proficiency in the use of MS Office software applications
    • Accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Co-operative, assertive and able to work independently and offer effective solutions.
    • Ability to develop working relationships with a wide range of internal and external partners.
    • Good knowledge of general insurance products and working knowledge of life insurance.
