    Senior Auditor

    Purpose of the Job:

    Responsible for providing support in carrying out specific audit exercises, regular review of the operational and financial processes, and ensuring compliance with related policies, standards, guidelines, and statutory requirements.

    Required Qualifications 

    • Master’s degree in Business Administration or any other related field from a recognized institution
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or any other related field.
    • Professional certification, that is, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or (CISA) is an added advantage.

    Required Experience & Competencies:

    • A minimum of seven (7) years’ working experience in auditing in a medium-to-large organization
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to write audit reports concisely and accurately.

    Senior Procurement and Contracting Officer

    Purpose of the Job

    Coordinating and managing the sourcing of goods, works and services including management of contracts management based on the principles of value for money in line with objectives and guidelines of the university.

    Required Qualifications 

    • Master’s degree in Procurement Supply Chain & Logistics management.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics or related business course from a recognized institution.
    • Professional qualification in procurement from KISM/CIPS or equivalent.
    • Computer literacy and good working knowledge in ERP and related computer applications.
    • Valid Practicing license from a relevant body.

    Senior Administrator – Nuru Counseling Centre

    The purpose of the job

    To manage and administer Nuru Counselling Centre, PhD clinicals & psychological tools.

    Required Qualifications and Experience

    • Master’s in Clinical Psychology (MCP):
    • PhD Candidate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology is an added advantage. (Commitment to  work is desirable).
    • Registered with relevant professional body. 

    Required Experience & Competencies:

    • A minimum of 7 (seven) years of experience in a busy office.
    • Hands-on skills in MS Office packages and proficiency in writing and reporting skills.
    • Demonstrable planning capabilities and ability to vet clients and assign them to appropriate Counselors.
    • Display marketing or advertising skills for Nuru Counselling Centre and PhD in Clinical Psychology.
    • Exhibit a flexible friendly disposition.
    • A high sense of integrity, innovativeness, diplomacy and ethical standards including confidentiality; keeping boundaries; avoidance of dual relationships; conflict of interest; and record keeping.
    • Ability to work long hours, including evenings;
    • Capacity to manage, guide and advise Counsellors/therapists and clients appropriately.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Competently manage technical and clinical details for PhD in Clinical Psychology students and occasionally Master’s level students.
    • Manage, distribute and care for Psychometric Testing Materials for PhD in Clinical Psychology students according to Daystar University tools policy.
    • Take care of teaching materials, equipment such as office computers, PhD Laptop, TV screen, Recorders and Speakers.
    • Receive clients and telephone calls and respond to them or direct them appropriately.
    • Keep record of all official calls, diary and excel bookings, record clients’ virtual and physical sessions.
    • Do initial intake and assign clients to qualified approved therapists and counsellors.
    • Bill clients according to Daystar policy and collect payments from clients and submit money collected to the accounts department on a daily basis.
    • Write monthly reports and avail them to the supervisor/s.
    • Attend competently to Crisis Intervention cases and report to the supervisor appropriately.
    • Facilitate liaison between the office, and internal and external publics.
    • Manage the office efficiently daily.
    • Give valuable administrative support to PhD faculty and students and send updates via email or WhatsApp as required.
    • Set up Virtual/Zoom link or clinical equipment for supervision of PhD students (if required).

    Fundraising Officer – Directorate of Resource Mobilization

    Purpose of the Job:

    The incumbent supports the Director of Resource Mobilization in the cultivation and management of donor relationships, coordinates fundraising events and campaigns, and ensures the effective implementation of fundraising strategies. With a focus on revenue generation, relationship building, and campaign management, the Fundraising Officer plays a pivotal role in securing financial resources to advance the university's mission and vision.

    Requirements:

    • Christian commitment and practice
    • Master's degree in PR, Fundraising Management, Communications, Marketing, Business Management, or other relevant discipline from an accredited university or its equivalent.
    • Minimum of seven years of experience, three of which must at least be as a Senior Officer or Manager with a proven track record of resource mobilization and the creation of resource mobilization-oriented partnerships and stakeholder networks.
    • Demonstrable experience in Business Development, Fundraising, Communication and Relationship Management.
    • Proven experience with writing quality proposals for local and international donors and an understanding of technical and financial requirements for grant proposals.
    • Excellent writing skills with the ability to tell compelling stories and leverage impact data for strong proposals.
    • Membership in relevant professional bodies will be an advantage.

    Responsibilities.

    Student Counsellor

    Purpose of the Job

    Planning, carrying out, and monitoring counselling services to students on academics, physical, spiritual, psychological, social development, and welfare in line with the students' code of conduct and the institution’s mission, vision, and core values.

    Required Qualifications,  Experience and Competencies

    Assistant Chaplain

    Purpose of the Job:

    Provision of support and assistance to the University Chaplain on spiritual nurture, religious coordination, counselling, mentorship and pastoral care needs of staff, faculty, and students to achieve the University’s vision.

    Requirements

    • Be a holder of Master’s degree in Bible and Theology or its equivalent from a reputable University.
    • Must have demonstrated pastoral training.
    • Must be an ordained Minister in a recognized Christian Bible believing church.
    • Must have served as a Pastor or in an equivalent position for at least five years.

    ERP Administrator – ICT Department

    Purpose of the Job:

    The incumbent supports the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the University’s  Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to ensure system efficiency for the achievement of the University’s objectives.  

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business IT, or related field.
    • Proven five years’ experience as a developer, three of which should be implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions.

    Purpose of the Job

    To provide legal support in the administrative, management, and coordination of legal functions in the Legal Department.

    Required Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or any other related field from a recognized institution.
    • Diploma in Law OR equivalent legal experience at a law firm.
