Role Objective 

Our client, a well-established law firm based in Nairobi focusing on commercial, corporate, and real estate law, serving both institutional and individual clients commercial seeks to fill a vacancy with a pro-active individual.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide legal opinions on matters relating to property and real estate.
• Offer legal advice to clients on the legal processes involved in purchasing and selling property.
• Conduct due diligence on conveyancing transactions and ensure the proper and timely execution and registration of documents.
• Receive and Scrutinize instructions from institutional lenders.
• Circulate periodical reports to corporate clients on ongoing transactions.
• Oversee the diligent handling of all client matters before the Companies Registry, Land Registries, Local Authorities, Survey of Kenya and National Lands Commission.
• Draft commercial and property security documentation.
• Oversee the drafting and registration of transfer documentation for ongoing commercial and residential property developments.
• Liaise with clients and key stakeholders such as mortgage lenders, estate agents, land valuers and surveyors.

Job Specifications and Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized institution.
• At Least Four (4) year post admission experience in a busy law firm with demonstrated experience in conveyancing and real estate, banking and property law, corporate and commercial law.
• Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a current practicing certificate.

Role Objective:

Our client is looking to hire an individual ready to learn and contribute to the operations of the company.

Core Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Assisting in recording daily financial transactions, such as revenues and expenses, to maintain accurate ledgers.
• Performing timely and accurate data entry into accounting software (like QuickBooks) and spreadsheets.
• Processing invoices, receipts, payments, expense reports, and other financial documents.
• Assisting with maintaining and updating accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Helping with bank reconciliations, vendor statement reconciliations, and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Maintaining and organizing physical and electronic financial documents, records, and files systematically.
• Assisting in preparing vouchers, purchase orders, and other financial forms.
• Supporting month-end or year-end closing processes and assisting in the preparation of basic financial reports, schedules, and management reports.
• Getting involved in tasks related to analyzing cash flow and budgetary planning.
• Conducting basic financial research and analysis as directed by senior staff.
• Supporting the team during internal or external audits by retrieving requested documentation and information.
• Helping ensure financial documentation is accurate and compliant with company policies and relevant laws/regulations (e.g., tax preparation assistance).
• Performing miscellaneous administrative duties, such as sorting mail, handling inquiries, and managing office supplies for the finance department.
• Perform other duties as allocated.

Job Specifications and Qualifications:

• CPA Foundation Level
• At least 6 months experience.
• Exposure to SAP Business One-Highly Preferred 
• Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
