    Accounts Assistant - Kakuma

    The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day project budget development, management and reporting/he will receive activity requisitions, budget development based on the received requisitions, reconciliations of all project returns, and reporting.

    • Bachelor of Commerce (Finance Options) and CPA(K) professional qualification with over 3 years of experience in the NGO Sub-sector

    Project Officers - Kakuma - 2 Positions

    Working under the Project Coordinator, the Project officers will support in the coordination of the day-to-day project activities, data collection, and reporting. They will also be responsible for the mobilization of participants, preparation of training notes and programs, facilitating all the training, and reporting

    Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s degree either in environmental studies, sociology, education, or any other relevant social sciences.
    • Additionally, the potential applicants must have over 4 years of experience in project management and coordination specifically in sectors of green skills or climate change adaptation.

    Project Coordinator - Kakuma

    The Project Coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day project implementation, coordination, management, and reporting for Kakuma.S/he will also be responsible for all the project monitoring activities as well as partnership management

    • Bachelor’s degree either in environmental studies, sociology, education or any other relevant social sciences.
    • Additionally, the potential applicants must have over 6 years of experience in project management and coordination specifically in sectors of green skills or climate change adaptation.

    Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning Coordinator

    The MEAL Coordinator will be the overall lead development of all project performance measurement frameworks, and tools for data collection jointly with the implementing partner organizations. S/he will be responsible for partner capacity assessment and partner capacity strengthening on all MEAL-related functions/he will provide guidance on the development of periodic project milestones, periodic data collection, and synthesis, development of all M&E reports, reports dissemination to implementing partners and key stakeholders as well as managing spaces for knowledge management such as site visits meetings, project quarterly, bi-annually and annually project review meetings.

    Qualifications: 

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences and post-graduate qualifications either in M&E or Project Management and Planning with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a similar position.
    • Should poses excellent experience in large-scale data collection using artificial intelligence or any other ICT-assisted devices.
    • Should poses advanced skills in all MEAL-related concepts and clearly articulate the link/s between project processes, and performances leading to the project relevance, efficiency, impact, and value for investment. Those that have served as MEAL for green skills-related projects will have an added advantage.

    Finance Manager

    The Finance Manager will be in charge of all finance-related functions of the project that will include; grants management and coordination, conducting due diligence to the project implementing partners, partner capacity strengthening on GCN’s finance and policy procedures, funds disbursement and monitoring of partner’s budgets burn rates and prudent management of resources, budgeting and reporting among other functions

    Qualifications: 

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in B. Com (Finance option) and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and CPA (K) professional qualifications.
    • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience working in the NGOs sub-sector in a similar position is also required for this position. Candidates who have previously served as Grants Managers will have an added advantage

    Project Manager

    The Project Manager will be the project lead and will specifically be in charge of partnership management and communication, coordination of all the project activities between GCN, implementing partners, and other key stakeholders, supporting capacity assessment and capacity strengthening of implementing partners on all project-related functions. Further, the manager will also be in charge of supporting the development of project performance measurement frameworks, supporting all M&E processes, development of work plans and budget projections, and reporting among other functions.

    Qualifications: 

    The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or Community Development, and a Master’s Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a similar position in a national or international NGO. S/he should have strong knowledge on education, green skills and, climate change adaptation issues at both the national and regional level; possess excellent, management and coordination, communication, partnership, documentation, and report writing skills.
