    Director Asset Management

    Job Requirements

    • Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Finance, Accounting, Economics or any business related field from a recognized institution.
    • Be in possession of a Transformative Leadership Course/Strategic Leadership Development Programme/Senior Management Course not lasting less than four weeks from a recognized institution.
    • Must be in possession of Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance.
    • Must have Ten (10) years of relevant experience.
    • Trainings and Knowledge on Asset Management and General Insurance will be an added advantage.

    Job Description

    • Responsible for the management of county’s assets, formulation and review of county asset management policies and guidelines, maintenance and updating of county fixed asset register, installation and maintenance of the assets management system and risk management including general insurance for all county assets.
    • Provide overall leadership, direction and technical assistance on prudent asset management.
    • Coordinate with other sectors and departments on the formulation and review of the best asset management policy.
    • Issuance of guidelines on the best asset management systems and on asset accounting to all departments.
    • Review existing asset management policy, guidelines and plans to ensure best practices in asset management.
    • Continuously update the county fixed asset register to ensure completeness and accuracy.
    • Assess and analyze budgetary provisions for assets in all departments to ensure timely replacement, repair and maintenance.
    • Evaluate the asset management systems for effective and real time identification and monitoring of assets.
    • Custodian of County Assets Records.
    • Develop and Review General Insurance Tender Documents Annually.
    • Ensure Adequate Insurance covers for all Insurable County Assets.

    Assistant Director Intergovernmental Relations

    Job Requirements

    • Be in Possession of any of the following Bachelor’s degree in International Relations ,Information Technology, Public Administration, Business Administration or any other related field from a recognized institution. 
    • Be in Possession of any of the following Master’s degree in International Relations, Business Administration, Public administration or any other related field from a recognized institution.
    • Demonstrated understanding of the Intergovernmental relations at county, national and international levels.
    • Over 10 years’ relevant working experience
    • Attended a Management Development Course lasting not less than 4 weeks.
    • Have good analytical and conflict resolution skills.
    • Have experience in Data analytics and report writing.
    • Must have served in management position preferably JG (K) and above for a period not less than 2years.
    • Have good communication skills
    • Demonstrated understanding of the County Economic Planning process as well as County Budgeting cycle.

    Job Description

    • Assist the Deputy Director to Communicate decisions, reports and plans of the IGRTC and the Council of Governors to relevant Sectors and units of the County Government;
    • Assist the Deputy Director to Coordinate the implementation of decisions of intergovernmental relations structures (IGRTC, Council of Governors, any other) in as far as they affect Nairobi City County Government;
    • Assist the Deputy Director to Coordinate consultations and cooperation between Nairobi City County Government and the National Government, and between Nairobi City County Government and other County Governments
    • Assist the Deputy Director to Coordinate transfer of functions between Nairobi City County Government and National Government;
    • Assist the Deputy Director to Manage agreements and memorandum of understandings between Nairobi City County Government and the National Government, and between Nairobi City County Government and other County Governments
    • Assist the Deputy Director Share information on issues of common interest with National Government or with other County Governments; 
    • Assist the Deputy Director to facilitate the management of dispute management mechanisms in matters affect the Nairobi City County Government;

    Job Requirements

    • Be in Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistic, or a related field.

    Job Description

    • Assisting the Director in coordination, supervision and promotion of economic ties with development partners including but not limited to the Private Sector, National Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and Non-State Actors.
    • Assist the Director in coordination of development of policies and legal framework for to mobilization and co-ordination of external resources
    • Assist the Director in tracking and reporting on implementation of partner funded programmes and projects across the sectors including Public Private Partnerships (PPPs), Donations & Grants as well as other market financial instruments
    • Deputize the Director in management and coordination of Project appraisal for investment decisions.
    • Assist the Director in preparation of specialized reports on public investment to the County Executive Committee.
    • Assist the Director track and report on implementation of County investment programmes, Policies, Plans and Budgets.
    • Assist the Director to initiate position papers on local and international economic and technical cooperation.
    • Analyze global and local macro-economic indicators for informed investment decisions and partnerships.
    • Assist the Director in coordination and promotion of the County as the preferred destination for domestic and foreign investment.
    • Assist the Director as well as implementing sectors developed project proposals for alternative financing.
