Our client who is in the manufacturing of steel products (galvanized wire/roofing materials) is looking for an experienced Business Development Executive to join their team! As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for strategic and operational business development.

Business Development Executive duties and responsibilities

• Developing and executing sales plans to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals
• Growing business through the development of new leads and new contacts
• Identifying new revenue opportunities
• Building business relationships with current and potential clients
• Attending networking events to attract and retain clients
• Developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to grow business
• Maintaining and updating sales, marketing and business development documentation
• Assisting with marketing and promotional projects
• Collaborating with management on sales goals
• Support the team with other responsibilities as required

Business Development Executive requirements and qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or similar field is a MUST
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales of steel products is a MUST
• Experience in selling roofing materials/galvanized wire is an added advantage.
• Experience with CRM software
• Proficiency in MS Office

Job Duties 

• Installation, operation, repair and maintenance of ASB plastic molding machines i.e. PF series50MBa nd70DPH.
• Trouble shooting of failures, repair and maintenance of water and air cooler chillers
• Maintenance, repair and servicing of high- and low-pressure AIR compressors i.e. atlas
• Maintenance of Cummins power back up diesel generators by conducting regular tests
• And check to ensure they are in good operational condition.
• Trouble shooting and repair of motors, blower sand water pumps.
• Operation and maintenance of Reverse Osmosis water treatment plant.
• PET machine Dryer repair and maintenance, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
• Provide timely and lasting solutions to equipment and machine breakdowns by
• Conducting root-cause analysis of mechanical and electrical failures.
• Maintenance of both closed and open loop cooling tower i.e., dosing with required chemicals, cleaning of mud using suction method, repair and servicing of their fans andmotors.
• Installation and maintenance of fluorescent, metal halide and LED tube lights.
• Troubleshooting failures, repair and maintenance of motor and pump control circuities
• Filling daily checklists for all utilities.
• Writing daily maintenance report and submitting to my senior.

Requirements and skills

• Certificate or diploma in mechanical engineering (plant option)
• Proven experience as a plastic machine operator
• Working knowledge in a plastic processing department.
• Experience in a plastic manufacturing company would be an added advantage.
• Leaves in Nairobi area or ready to relocate.
