    Team Leader - Service Management

    Role Purpose: 

    The job holder will be responsible for executing  24/7 Real-time  RAN, VAS,IT, Transmission Network  resources /Core operational  monitoring  & 1st level troubleshooting & intervention escalation. This is a key role in the overall execution of the Technology strategy and will require a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • 24/7 Rota monitoring of GSM, Transmission, Networks elements.
    • Exhibit familiarity with the use of basic network  monitoring tools:  Lansupport, Netnumen, Cacti, I Manager,  Huawei U2000   
    • Perform initial analysis to localize issues and restore if possible (1st corrective maintenance).
    • Management of Trouble Tickets (TT) and Fault Escalation to the relevant technical staff and follow up until ticket closure
    • Perform Faults management by coordinating support resources; managing technical escalation to ensure faults are rectified within agreed SLAs.
    • Notification to keep management and other business units informed during system outages with reference to priority of the fault (Priority Matrix).
    • Responsible  for  informing  Management,  partners  and  peers  about  network  performance  and service availability and network outages
    • oversees the work of shift teams to ensure that system requirements have been
    • Properly implemented and procedures carefully followed.
    • Producing reports at the end of the shift (shift handover report) on the network status and sending the same to all intended recipients as per the company laid down structures.
    • Facilitate implementation of planned activities as per Change management directives i.e. by ensuring that implementers adhere to the Change management terms and conditions.
    • Coordinates  the  duty  shift  table  for  the  NOC  operations  and  carefully allocates  staff  members (NOC technicians and NOC engineers) on different shift duties for ensuring the whole NOC shift works in an efficient and effective manner.
    •  Ensure maximum possible service availability and performance.

    Academic Background and Professional Knowledge

    • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a reputable institution;
    • A minimum of 2-6 years’ experience  in a similar position with a supervisory background
    • Thorough telecommunications knowledge is a requirement
    • Expertise in maintaining networking systems

    Here are the skills we are looking for

    • Knowledge of GSM/3G,4G architecture, core circuit and packet architecture, VAS architecture LAN, WAN, TCPIP
    • MS Office proficiency
    • Good knowledge of the O&M processes
    • Specific knowledge of multiple telecom technologies ( GSM  and Fixed network )

    Engineer- BSS & Access Network

    Role Purpose: 

    The job holder will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of the Base Station Subsystem Network (BSCs and RNCs), Microwave (MW) and MSANs performances, i.e. including CPU and memory usage, Software and radio resources on all technologies.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Management of configurations on 3G,2G and 4G (New sites Configs.) including Neighbour definitions, synchronization
    • Preparation and successful implementation of Technical Specifications, Method of Procedures and Change Requests
    • Provision, upgrade and cessation of circuits as per direction from accounts department
    • Weekly KPI Reporting on Network Performance not limiting to  Balance Score Card KPIs
    • Updates on network documentations, i.e network topology, network inventory, spares inventory
    • Service KPIs and network performance management 
    • Configuration changes through Network Change Management process  i.e. software upgrade, site re-homing, signaling links, IU interfaces, Abis interfaces, Gb interfaces, traffic distribution…….etc
    • Manage faults/incidents through network faults/incident management processes for both network and customer.

    Academic Background and Professional Knowledge

    • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a reputable institution;
    • Possess CCNA certification
    • 2 years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of telecommunications networks including: BSS/RAN, Enterprise Access Network (MSANs), Last mile Microwave System
    • Technical trainings on BSC and BTS site equipment and software that are to be used to access and work on site equipment
    • Extensive knowledge of equipment and software characteristics of various telecommunications networks and their integration capabilities.

    Regional County Manager

    Role Purpose: 

    The job holder will be required to implement and drive the sales strategy and action plans for the sales and distribution of Telkom product and services for Enterprise customers within a specified region.  Furthermore, she/he must facilitate and enable the meeting of sales targets and revenue margins across the customer network within the region and also manage, coach and guide the sales team in the region in terms of execution and implementation of Telkom Enterprise sales strategy for the region and ensure compliance with Telkom’s policies, practices and procedures.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Effectively manage the budget of the sales team within the region and ensure sales are done cost effectively
    • Contribute to the cost savings target of the business
    • Forecast and achieve sales for the relevant market segments within the region
    • Monitor and measure the profitability levels of customers within the region
    • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and facilitate the continuous growth of the customer base within the region
    • Determine required solution for the customer with a focus on cross- and up selling of products and services
    • Ensure the accuracy of the first bill as per the signed agreement
    • Ensure the effective management of the customer account and timeous problem solving
    • Analyze business and market information to inform sales decisions and to educate the sales team within the region
    • Conduct analysis of customer, partners and sales metrics, costs and categories to inform business decisions
    • Compile action plans to grow specific product and service categories within the region
    • Ensure the delivery of expected sales delivery and performance of the sales team within the region
    • Communicate changes in processes, product or services changes, promotions and launches timeously to the sales team within the region
    • Facilitate and maintain the development of communication channels on all levels to prevent breakdown in information flow
    • Plan and execute product events and animations with Product service providers for the region
    • Continuously ensure alignment with marketing, branding and communications procedures
    • Ensure adheres to policies and procedures to support governance and controls
    • Provide regular feedback concerning the performance of sales team and customer base against set KPIs, identify non-performers and ensure appropriate action are taken
    • Conduct training needs analysis for sales team and the customers as well as support the implementation of training interventions (brand promotion, product knowledge, negotiation skills etc.)
    • Embark on a continuous learning drive to stay abreast with best practice in Telecoms and related industries
    • Ensure a thorough understanding of the Telkom products and services, policies and procedures to ensure a consistent delivery of sales and sales message to all customers

     

    Academic Background and Professional Knowledge

    • Master’s Degree is desirable
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing or Business Administration or IT with strong Bias in Sales.
    • Professional Sales training will be a strong advantage
    • Must have at least 5 years working experience in sales and distribution in Telco or FMCG Industry; of which 2-3 Years must be in leading a sales team in sales and growth and revenue generation.

    Team Leader - Core Network

    Role Purpose: 

    The Team Leader is principally responsible for leading the planning, coordinating and overseeing the execution of the technology strategy. This involves a multi-disciplinary approach where financial, customer, internal processes and people management come together.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • The operations and maintenance of the CS Core, PS Core ,Signaling & Subscriber Management Networks (MSCs, Soft switches, MGWs, UMGs, HSS/HLR,SPS/STP & Roaming services EPG,GGSN,PGW, MME,SGW,SGSN,IP WORKS)
    • Core Network project implementations to ensure adherence to plan, specification and timely completion
    • Preparation and successful implementation of Core Network Technical Specifications, Method of Procedures and Change Requests
    • Create capacity planning standards and guidelines for network’s continued expansion
    • Weekly KPI Reporting on Network Performance as agreed on  Balance Score Card
    • Service KPIs and network performance management  of Core Network
    • Core Network configuration changes through Network Change Management process 
    • Manage Core Network faults/incidents through network management processes for both network and customer
    • Work in fast paced dynamic environment and under high pressure.

    Academic Background and Professional Knowledge

    • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a reputable institution.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience in the operations and maintenance of telecommunications networks and the same experience leading teams
    • Thorough telecommunications knowledge
