About the Role

Reporting to the business development manager-partnerships, the role holder will drive growth of CIC Asset Management Limited retail and institutional business through non-tied distribution channels, including Independent Financial Advisors (SAO, ME & OLA) and other third-party agents. The role ensures effective onboarding, training, and performance driven and tracking to enhance SAO, ME & OLA contribution to total Assets Under Management

Key Responsibilities

• Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead the identification, recruitment, vetting, and onboarding of Independent Financial Advisors (SAO, ME & OLAs), internal agents, and other third-party distribution partners to expand the retail network.
• Performance Management: Achieve sustained AUM growth and improved client and business retention from the SAO, ME & OLA network by segmenting advisors by productivity tier, closing performance gaps through targeted, measurable support interventions, and strengthening advisor practices that reduce client attrition.
• Compliance & Governance Oversight: Work closely with the Compliance and Risk teams to ensure that all agents operate within regulatory guidelines and internal policies, including timely licensing and renewal with CMA.
• Training & Capacity Building: Design and deliver ongoing product, process, compliance, and sales training programs to enhance advisor knowledge, confidence, and sales effectiveness.
• Sales Enablement: Coordinate with marketing and digital teams to distribute marketing collaterals, digital content, pitch decks, and sales kits customized for various audiences.
• Commission Processing Support: Work with operations and finance teams to facilitate timely calculation, reconciliation, and payment of commissions to SAO, ME & OLAs.
• Meeting & Presentation Support: Provide logistical and presentation support to SAO, ME & OLAs, including preparation of customized decks and data insights for client meetings and forums.
• Market Penetration Strategy: Track regional SAO, ME & OLA penetration and retail uptake trends, and develop market activation strategies targeting underrepresented counties or customer segments.
• Campaign Execution: Collaborate with the business development, product, and marketing teams to plan and roll out thematic campaigns, incentive programs, and client acquisition drives through the SAO, ME & OLA network.
• Technology Adoption: Champion the use of CICAM digital tools and platforms (e.g., CIC Invest App, Web Portal, reporting dashboards) by agents to enhance efficiency, transparency, and client servicing.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with SAO, ME & OLAs; provide regular updates, resolve operational issues, and gather market feedback to improve agent experience.
• Reporting and Analytics:
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) including SAO, ME & OLA sales performance, activity levels, campaign outcomes, and commission trends for internal business reviews and strategy alignment.
• Event Coordination:
• Support the planning and execution of SAO, ME & OLA forums, recognition events, product launches, and webinars aimed at deepening engagement and motivation across the agent ecosystem.

Who We’re Looking For

Essential Knowledge/Skills and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Actuarial science, or related field;
• Master’s degree or professional certification (ICFA, CISI) is an added advantage.
• 5+ years of experience in business development, financial services, fintech partnerships, or distribution management.
• Proven track record of building and growing B2B2C partnerships or sales networks in financial services.

About the Role

Reporting to the Investment Operations Officer, the role holder will be responsible for managing trade settlement with our custodians, settlement of corporate actions across portfolios as well data input in core Fund Management system.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare and transmit precise investment instructions to all custodians.
• Trades input and management, acting as the primary liaison between custodians and the Fund Manager
• Verify that trade allocations and settlements are executed accurately and timely against custodian statements.
• Identify, track and resolve unmatched transactions by collaborating with custodians, dealers and Fund administrators.
• Review daily system entries to verify accuracy and recommend corrective actions for data anomalies.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations between custodian holdings and Fund Manager records.
• Track, process and manage all corporate actions affecting the portfolios.
• Set up new products and onboard clients into the fund management system following successful tenders and RFPs.
• Maintain organized and compliant investment documents
• Assist with process optimization and perform system testing for new updates and product launches.
• Participate in departmental planning, budgeting and meetings.
• Provide documentation and support for both internal and external audits.

About the Role

The role holder will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely receipting, bank and premium reconciliations, IPF management and debt follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

• Check remittances (RTGS, EFT, IPFs, Mpesa) and facilitate receipting within 24 Hrs
• Review all daily transaction entries to verify the correctness and completeness of the captured data and advise on required actions;
• Maintain IPF schedules and follow up with the bank on settlement
• Liaise with internal departments (finance, operations, IT, underwriting and business to resolve reconciliation issues within allowed TAT
• Maintain accurate records of reconciliation activities and adjustments.
• Escalate unresolved issues and aged reconciling items appropriately.
• Ensure timely follow-up and clearance of outstanding items in reconciliation
• Tracing and pursuing long outstanding debtors and where possible issue demand letters and escalate for cancellation
• Match receipts and payments against invoices, premiums and debtor accounts.
• Follow up on missing bank debits, receipts and supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate reconciliation schedules and ageing reports.
• Support clearing of outstanding and unreceipted transactions.
• Prepare daily/weekly reconciliation and exception reports.
• Support month-end and quarterly account closure and signoffs.
• Ensure reconciliation issues are escalated within agreed turnaround times.
• Assist with process improvement, automation and data quality initiatives.

Who We’re Looking For

Essential Knowledge/Skills and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field.
• Professional Qualification in CPA, ACCA, CCP is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Experience in general insurance or financial services industry is an added advantage
