    Payroll Compliance Analyst

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct regular compliance tests to assess adherence to tax, regulatory, policy and process requirements across
    •  Group Payrolls and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
    • Perform monthly Payroll-to-GL reconciliations for Kenya Businesses and oversee compliance with monthly Payroll-to-GL reconciliation requirements across International Businesses.
    • Proactively manage Group Payrolls risk by ensuring that all statutory deductions are reconciled and remitted to the relevant authority within the stipulated time.
    • Ensure the Bank’s Retirement Schemes are funded in accordance with the respective Pension Scheme Rules.
    • Reconcile Group payroll suspense and control accounts to ensure compliance with the Group Suspense Accounts Policy and timely resolution of outstanding items.
    • Coordinate with internal IT and payroll system vendors to implement approved Payroll System and Banking interface changes, ensuring appropriate testing, efficiency and controls.
    • Support internal and external audits by providing required payroll data and prepare regular compliance and payroll reports for management decision-making.
    • Manage relationships with statutory authorities, payroll system vendors and other relevant stakeholders on payroll compliance and system matters.
    • Maintain updated departmental process maps and risk registers and submit monthly Ethics and Compliance self-assessment reports to Group Risk.
    • Ensure all payroll costs are correctly posted to the respective GLs before month end.
    • Conduct periodic reviews of payroll system user access to ensure privileges are aligned with the approved role matrix.

    Qualifications

    For the above position, the ideal candidate should meet the following requirements: 

    • Holder of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
    • Professional qualifications in accounting, payroll or tax will be an added advantage.

    At least four years’ relevant work experience in a similar sized organization, including specific experience in the following areas:

    • 4 years in Payroll administration and processing
    • 3 years Payroll compliance, taxation & statutory requirements experience
    • 3 years of advanced excel, data manipulation tools and analysis
    • 3 years use of Payroll and Finance Systems. 
    • 3 years in Payroll or GL Reconciliation. 
    • 3 years in Stakeholder and Relationship management
    • 3 years in Risk and Compliance
    • Experience in Labour laws & Employment regulations 

    The personal attributes and competences will entail include the below qualities:

    Forensic Investigator Electronic

    Key Responsibilities

    • Proactively implement fraud prevention strategies
    • Effect detective mechanisms against fraud schemes
    • Carry out fraud risk assessments
    • Facilitate training and understanding of fraud prevention and detection across the Bank network
    • Carryout fraud investigations using technology and best practice
    • Prepare comprehensive forensic and fraud investigation reports
    • Review and provide guidance within defined SLAs to reduce potential revenue losses and recovery of the same
    • Recommend changes to fraud management methodologies while minimizing negative customer impact
    • Track status and prepare periodic summaries of fraud trends as appreciated and from related industry sources to enhance fraud management across the business
    • Undertake any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications

    Academic & Professional

    • Bachelor’s Degree: Computer Science/Finance/ Business/ Banking/ law/ Criminal Justice studies or any relevant field  RQ
    • Professional Qualifications: CFIP, CFE, CISA, CSM or Any other related forensic investigation certification RQ

    Experience & Proficiencies

    • Total Minimum number of years of experience in Banking operations 5 Years
    • Analytical skills in forensic investigations, Fraud Prevention & Detection  5 Years ES
    • Exposure to and familiarity with different analytical techniques (Linear, Regression, Clustering Techniques, Neural Network, Decision Trees etc).Demonstrated leadership in handling high profile assignments in a dynamic environment 3 Years ES

    Senior Relationship Manager, Industrials, Client Coverage

    Key Responsibilities

    • Implement sector strategy in line with the overall Sector and Division Strategy.
    • Deliver on Annual Business Growth Targets: Revenue, Fees and Commissions, Profit Before Tax, Assets, Liabilities and Customer Numbers.
    • Execute client deals in line with developed strategic client plans.
    • Executes sales growth tactics and targets in collaboration with business partners (e.g. Sectors, Product Management teams, Bancassurance, Capital and any other business partners).
    • Champion the delivery of consistent, seamless and trusted customer service to ensure customer retention and loyalty.
    • Personally maintain and deepen client relationships at the appropriate level and foster long-term client interest.

    Qualifications

    • University Degree from a recognized institution.
    • Seven (7) years’ banking experience in the Financial/banking sector, five (5) of which should be in Relationship Management in Corporate Banking.
    • 3 years working on Credit and Financial Analysis 
    • 4 years Client Portfolio Management for Industrial related clients.
    • Knowledge of Trade and Transaction Banking products 
    • Digital Savvy and Computer literacy
    • Entrepreneurial and Commercial thinking
    • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Integrity & courage to challenge actions within various business units and the status quo.

    Sahl Relationship Manager, Gateway Branch

    Key Responsibilities

    • Managing and leading customer relations, both corporate and Retail.
    • Shari’ah compliant product sales and other cross sales of other basket products as per targets
    • Liaison with Relationship teams and Retail Branch network to grow the business
    • Risk Management to mitigate losses e.g. Frauds and revenue leakages.
