    Registered Nurse - Part Time

    Duties

    The incumbent serves as the post’s nurse with responsibilities that include the medical care of Mission employees and eligible family members under MED approved clinical guidelines, as well as maintenance and inventory of all medical equipment and supplies, implementation of a robust vaccination program, administration of group and individual health education programs, and medical emergency contingency planning for the Mission. The incumbent will work in the Medical Unit under the direct supervision of the Medical Provider (MP) or Regional Medical provider (RMO).

    Qualifications and Evaluations

    Requirements:

    EXPERIENCE:

    •  A minimum of two (2) years of post-qualification work as a professional nurse is required. 

    JOB KNOWLEDGE:

    The incumbent possesses critical-thinking skills and comprehends MED’s policies and procedures regarding medical evacuations, hospitalizations and insurance reimbursement methodology. Must maintain current knowledge of local and regional medical services that can provide care for all acuity levels, including betted specialists and hospitals. Is a resource for arranging the best method to transport critically ill patients and maintains a working relationship with transport facilities.

    Education Requirements:

    Degree (RN Level) in Nursing or Diploma/Certificate equivalent from an accredited School of Nursing is required. Must possess and maintain a valid nursing license or a current unrestricted Registered Nursing license from the U.S., Puerto Rico, or Western European equivalent is required.

    Community Liaison Office Coordinator

    Basic Function of the Position:

    The CLO is responsible for developing and managing a program based on community demographics and post-specific needs. Development and implementation of the program has direct impact on post morale and affects overall work performance, productivity, retention, community spirit, and individual and family well-being in a foreign environment. The CLO develops evaluation criteria and conducts periodic surveys to assess program efficacy. Based on analysis of formal and informal surveys, the CLO develops and implements a long-range program plan that outlines goals to maintain and enhance morale at post.

    Qualifications and Evaluations

    • EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of five years of professional work experience required. Minimum of six months of supervisory experience required.
    • JOB KNOWLEDGE: Pertinent DOS regulations, programs, and policies, as well as host-country laws, practices, and mores. Critical to duties in employment liaison, education liaison, crisis management, and security liaison where USG and DOS regulations, policies and initiatives govern programs and benefits critical to the general well-being of FS employees and family members overseas.

    Education Requirements:

    • Completion of Secondary school is required.

    Human Resources Assistant (USDH Portfolio)

    Duties

    The incumbent of the position is the assistant to the U.S. Direct Hire (USDH) Portfolio. Duties include:  administering and assisting with the yearly EER and eAwards processes. Supports the American HR Portfolio, supporting 31 U.S. government agencies and offices, over 1,500 Chief of Mission personnel, and close to $1 billion in resources.  The incumbent works collaboratively with two Human Resources Assistants, Human Resources Clerk and one Human Resources Assistant (American Services Team Lead) on the American Portfolio. The incumbent is supervised by the Human Resources Officer with oversight of the American Portfolio. Position requires Secret Security clearance. 

    Qualifications and Evaluations

    Experience:

    • Minimum of three (3) years of administrative office work experience is required.

    JOB KNOWLEDGE:

    • Must have a good knowledge of Mission, Bureau and Post Employment Policies.  Must have good knowledge of OPM rules and Employment Benefits such as FEHB, FEGLI, TSP.  Must have working knowledge of EEO laws.

    Education Requirements:

    • A High School Diploma is required.
