    Channel Manager

    Your Role

    As the Channel Manager, you will play a key role in the development of KOKO Networks in the region, serve our customer base of >50,000, manage our robust retail network, and drive the acquisition of customers through our Agents, Customer Sales Team, and activation efforts. You will need to achieve targets related to building and expanding our Agent Network and growing our customer base. As such you will be a key contributor to KOKO Networks’ journey towards 1,000,000 cooker customers in Kenya.

    What You Will Do

    • Oversee core sales channels including Agent Network and Customer Sales Team
    • Manage the relationship with both internal and external stakeholders
    • Define priorities and track key performance indicators for all staff within the Commercial team in line with the overall commercial strategy
    • Refine our operating model and strategy for the market ensuring optimal alignment with the overall Commercial strategy
    • As the Market expert you will be tasked to advise on modifying and defining the processes to suit business needs
    • Build, train, manage, and mentor a team of Sales Managers, Team Leaders, and a network of over 30+ Sales Agents
    • Ensure efficient management of the budget
    • Produce analytical reports for the Management team on the performance of the commercial team, key sales trends in the market, and customer feedback

    What You Will Bring to KOKO

    • University degree in a related field, with postgraduate degrees preferred
    • 15+ years of professional experience, ideally in FMCG, Telco
    • 10+ years of experience in sales management and leadership
    • Strong understanding of the business & cultural context in Kakamega/Western
    • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing sales strategies across urban areas
    • Comfort role modeling behaviors in line with KOKO culture, including leadership, professionalism, customer orientation, safety consciousness, and innovation

    Fuels Team Leader - Kakamega

    Your Role

    As a Fuels Field Team Leader, you will be responsible for smooth operations utilizing own and subcontracted resources to ensure supply of quality fuel in the network for our KOKO Cooker Customers.

    What You Will Do

    • Calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.
    • Fuel quality monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
    • Ensuring the fuels testing laboratory is taken care of and 5s applied to the letter.
    • Perform periodic inspection checks for product compliance in the network with set standards
    • Ensure the safety of the work environment during quality checks.
    • Test products as per KOKO Labs procedures and reporting.
    • Participate in the fuels receipt with representatives of our fuel partners 
    • Participate in sourcing and replacement of the lab equipment on a need basis
    • Report, escalate and follow up on fuel delivery-related field incidents.
    • Provide feedback on the KOKO technology used by KOKO operators and identify areas of improvement.
    • Monitor and report on the performance of all Micro tankers.
    • Lead and Mentor operators and assistants on existing technology improvements, KOKO maintenance activities, quality, safety, and incident management.
    • Supervise the rollout of new last-mile hardware; depot stations and micro tankers

    What You Will Bring to KOKO

    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Chemistry, Operations, or engineering-related field with 1+ years of hands-on experience within an operations environment
    • Good data analysis and presentation skills on google sheets or Microsoft Office
    • Ability to work with testing equipment
    • Ability to work independently with accuracy and precision
    • Flexibility and adaptability in your attitude and approach to work
    • Problem-solving skills, cost-saving, and business continuity mindset
    • Ability to adapt to a highly technological environment -
    • knowledge of basic android smartphone technology is an added advantage good communication and interpersonal skills
    • A good understanding of the basic traffic rules.
    • A good understanding of HSSE procedures in the petroleum industry will be an added advantage

    Network Operations Technician

    Your Role

    As Network Operations Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, calibration, commissioning, and maintenance of network hardware that includes KOKO Points, Smart Tanker, and Smart Depot units across Kakamega neighborhoods with a goal of minimizing equipment breakdown through effective implementation of laid-out predictive and productive maintenance systems. This role is critical in delivering KOKO’s promise of network quality and uptime to customers.

    What You Will Do

    • Carry out shop outlet technical inspections, installations, and test protocols, calibration, and commissioning of KOKO Points
    • Ensure all deployed network hardware conforms to respective quality and regulatory requirements and adherence  to all installation, calibration, and maintenance schedules against  set metrics
    • Troubleshoot system and hardware errors and resolve technical problems using a structured approach with a view to resolving incidents in a timely manner and preventing recurrence.
    • Document and own activities by completing forms, reports, logs, and records using provided tools. Ensure good work management of provided work orders, instructions, and schedules to meet daily targets and maintain high-quality outputs
    • Continuously identify needs for improvement by conveying it to the line manager and/or engineering team to maintain high-quality work standards
    • Maintain assigned tools and equipment in good operating condition by following operating instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, maintaining supply levels, and performing regular maintenance
    • Maintain customer satisfaction through professional conduct and engagements
    • Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.

    What You Will Bring to KOKO

    • Diploma/BSc degree in Engineering or another technical field
    • A minimum of 1-year experience in field operations or a similar technical capacity.
    • Ability to test, troubleshoot, service, and repair electronic equipment
    • Working knowledge of plumbing repairs, maintenance processes, methods, and installation techniques
    • Excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills 
    • A team player able to work effectively with others and independently with minimal supervision
