Clearing & Forwarding Manager at Bahari Forwarders Limited

Minimum Requirements:

• Appropriate qualification would be preferable
• Exposure in the shipping / logistics / Perishable industry
• Previous 5+ years C & F experience at Management level is essential
• Demonstrate innovative thinking and professional leadership and management principles
• Hands on, action orientation with a “make it happen” approach
• Must be able to travel

Technical knowledge including:

• Forwarding tariff procedures
• Banking procedures
• Clearing documentation for sea and air freight
• Ability to build relationships with authorities in order to challenge ad-hoc decisions
• Research in documentation other than fruit business.

Duties:

• Manage and Control the forwarding/receipt of inbound and outbound cargo’s documentation
• Investigate and research the documentation process for new clients / markets
• Liaise and negotiate with statutory bodies to ensure effective finalization of the documentation process’s
• Manage the C&F team and ensure they are all up to date on new statutory requirements.
• Provide input into the development of operational system
• Ensure procedures are updated and adhered to
