    Corporate & Commercial Internship - (22000096)

    DESCRIPTION

    We are pleased to announce an internship opportunity for the year 2022 in the Commercial, Business Development, Enterprise Business, Financial Services, Internal Audit, Finance, Corporate Affairs & Human Resources Divisions.

    Our Internship program runs quarterly i.e. From April to June, July to September, October to December and January to March 2023.  Call for applications will only happen once in the financial year allowing you to plan which quarter of the year you are available for. This internship will seek to expose you to the various teams within your assigned divisions e.g. Sales support, Marketing, Market research, MPESA, HR, Finance, Procurement, Audit, Corporate sales and innovation.

    As an intern, you will be exposed to ‘on job training’ and exposure to our experienced leaders throughout the program. Through an internship with us, you'll tackle business challenges that make a real impact. You'll work alongside teams performing real tasks and you’ll develop your skills and build your network in a dynamic environment designed to support your long-term career objectives.

    In keeping with our current learning needs, we are looking for University students who meet the criteria indicated below:

    1. You must be in your final or second last year of any Business-related degree program in an accredited institution of higher learning undertaking a Bachelor’s Degree.
    2. You must be on break from school during the internship period for any of the quarters within the year.
    3. Knowledge in any digital vertical within commercial e.g. digital marketing, digital sales, data science will be an added advantage
    4. Must be available for the full period of the internship program (Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm)
    5. You can only select 1 quarter in the year for which you will be available for the internship
    6. The internship is for a fixed period of three months without extension.

     
    QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Ideal candidate's requirements:
    2. Desire to gain professional experience and is incredibly eager to learn and explore the corporate environment
    3. Oral and written communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, as well as the ability to challenge the status quo will enhance a successful internship.
    4. Basic proficiency in MS office suite skill required.

    As part of the recruitment and on-boarding process the below documents will be required at a later stage.

    1. Letter from your college indicating you are a student there and/or require internship as part of requirement for course completion.
    2. NSSF, NHIF, KRA PIN & Bank account details
    3. Copy of National Identity Card.
    4. Good conduct & CRB certificate

    Manager – Wholesale Pricing and Analysis - (22000084)

    DESCRIPTION
     We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for of Manager – Wholesale Pricing and Analysis within the Regulatory and Public Policy Department in Corporate Affairs Division.  In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

    Brief Posting Description
    Reporting to the Senior Manager - International Business, will be responsible by taking lead in the international business budgeting process, the preparation and development of international business projections for input into each respective budgetary cycle, month on month performance tracking and variance analysis review against budget targets at product and service level. The candidate will also be responsible in preparing and analyzing international business and roaming profit center statements.

    Job Responsibilities

    1. To create a center of excellence in matters pricing, analysis and reporting for international business.
    2. Working closely with the revenue within the section to identify the ideal pricing for existing products, new products and for promotional offers to customers.
    3. Providing insightful analysis based on customer behavior necessary for management decision making. 
    4. To lead the international business market intelligence gathering process.
    5. To provide accurate and timely business analytics to support international business decision making process.
    6. Control cost and identity cost saving opportunities within International Business.
    7. Monitor and track international business revenues and margins on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
    8. Develop and continuously improve daily international business dashboard.
    9. Institute and continuously improve a robust framework for monitoring performance within International Business.

     
    QUALIFICATIONS

    1.  A graduate in a business -related field
    2. 3-5 years’ experience in the telecoms industry with a bias in strategic planning/business planning, pricing, analysis and reporting.
    3. Qualified Accountant CPA (K)/CFA/CIMA/ACCA/ACA or its equivalent.
    4. Able to take a holistic view of the business.
    5. Able to develop strong analytical framework to aid in swift and objective decision making.
    6. Project management skills.
    7. Strong business acumen and highly developed commercial experience.
    8. Experience in strategic decision making.
    9. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
    10. High level experience and skills in working with stakeholders.
